I have again asked for the plans and told them I’m not accepting the slabs until I know if it’s been built properly and to spec.

Should dropped kerbs be in line with the drive?
Have you checked your local council planning website for the development. It may have plans with scale/sizes.
I’ve got the link to the plans but there’s hundreds of documents which won’t open on my phone
I guess only you can decide whether making the effort to spend some time and look at the hundreds of documents, on something other than a phone, is worth it giving that it might provide you with that one vital piece of information that will help you put pressure on the builder.

The primary information on that plan is levels and drainage - the numbers starting with 128 or 129 are levels (height of the surface above some datum).  The numbers in the format 1:xx next to arrows show falls (slopes) in the direction of the arrow.  So on your driveway the surface 'falls' at 1 in 24 diagonally across (this also means the retaining wall stops and redirects surface water away from your neighbour as I suggested previously).

The cyan (surface water) and magenta (foul water) lines show the location and direction of the drainage systems.

There are no dimensions showing how large the driveway (or anything else) should be.
  • Ok thank you
  • Update… they will tarmac an additional 600mm to the left of the drive … but from the strip - will be done in new year so will give me time to go through it all I suppose
    Sounds very positive 👍
  • Yes much better than the yellow brick road to nowhere 😂

And for those that like to know these things, FFL stands for finished floor level.

It would be good to see a version of this with a readable legend and one we could zoom in on. For example, i think the hashed/green line between your drive and plot 212 states "retaining wall" in the legend, but interestingly may look like it should be on your neighbours land, not taking up part of your drive. ie. its on "their" side of the line on the drawing.

I wouldn't read too much into this - the plan is diagramatic and it may be the positioning of the line representing the retaining wall is intended only to indicate the neighbour's side is lower than the OP's.
