If it's more tarmac to the left as you look at the garage etc you should ask for it and see what the cost may be.
They have accepted some sort of acknowledgement of the issue offering you slabs now you need to progress what you actually want.
The OP needs to ascertain whether the dimensions fit the plan, it doesn't matter if the OP thinks the double drive is too small it depends on what they agreed to buy.0 -
I think it’s the wall that has caused the issue as it’s not in the plans and like someone said it has taken up the space which has made it a bit smaller. I’ll see how it is with the slabs it’s better than nothing at the moment but thank you for all your responses. The developers have obviously acknowledged some of the issue so I think maybe something went wrong somewhere0

I have only had the plans as I’ve shared - I didn’t have any to scale but I will still ask for them - I will ask for them tomorrow but I was clearly told that it was a double drive way and that is all redrow build to0

I’ve shown all I have, and that doesn’t show it. I have asked the sales rep for more detailed plan which they haven’t provided so will ask my solicitor and them to look further0

Further to the blocks/extension.
I can not see it in the original photo, but any extension to the width, you need to ensure is aligned with a dropped curb.
If they extend the driveway towards the grass, if you have to drive over any curbing to access it, it may cause you issues later. The only place where success comes before work is the dictionary…

It can be seen that due to the angle of the wall only a small amount of extra width can be added to the parking area before the 4.8m measurement overhangs a) the dashed line, and b) the edge of the roadway. As I suggested earlier, I suspect the garage is set back in the way it is so there is a clear 4.8m in front without impinging on areas where parking wouldn't be allowed.1
