With a computer that comes with Windows pre installed there is no product key.MouldyOldDough said:Does Magical Jelly bean find the orginal key that was used to install Windows 11 (ie Default - BIOS code) or does it show the latest attempt to activate Windows ?

Sorry, I don't know what else to suggest.Personally I'd just run it unactivated for a while.
(and then maybe in a few months make an image backup before trying another Windows install to see if it sorts itself out then).I have no problems at all running my other laptop unactivated, it does everything that this activated one does, apart from the customisation settings not working and there's other ways to do those.
eg. Right click any image file to set it as the desktop background. (make it light coloured and you'll hardly notice the Activate Windows watermark, I've got a snow scene up on mine).1 -

What is this 'rebuild' that you are claiming to do?MouldyOldDough said:@Newcad
Had an online chat with MSI who don't know why this is happening..... They advise another rebuild
There no real way to follow what it is exactly you are doing.
Perhaps best to leave you to go through possible solutions in your own time: https://techcult.com/fix-windows-10-activation-error-0x80072ee7/1 -

If I chose to rebuild/refresh my PC again - does it reset all of the permissions, that may have changed/been changedOr do they stay ?
