I just wanted to mention a few stats from this year's challenge as we have just passed the half-way point.
- Five of us (in luminous apple green on the spreadsheet) have already exceeded our initial targets, set for the year! - that "us" doesn't include me, by the way!
- A further five have saved over 75% of their target (dark green)
- 23 out of 51 are on track (over 50%, under 75%) in addition to the ten previously mentioned (light green)
- 7 are close or very close to half way there (in pale amber) but we never know if they are working to a stretch target or maybe a bonus is due later, or an account matures
- 11 are at 25% or less; within these are the people who joined part way through, some who have not updated for June yet, and a few who posted once (5) so far, or only two or three times (3).

Have decided to move a lot of savings to premium bonds to avoid paying 40% tax on the interest, we have temporarily high cash balances in preparation for some expected upcoming costs (renovations and other bits). Prefer to keep ISA allowance available for stocks & shares subscriptions, must keep these up despite everything else going on.
Good job saving some impressive numbers everyone!
Savings are pretty much non-existent as we pay for the renovations as we go along, but will keep reporting for completeness!
Decided to open a Trading212 ISA to try it out (and to benefit from the new ISA rules), invested just a small £500 in World Developed Equity ETF (LGGG). Mind you, I won't be adding any more money to it anytime soon, but maybe in the future."If you aren’t willing to own a stock for ten years, don’t even think about owning it for ten minutes” Warren Buffett
