They are trying to pretend that the £1 fee was an offer of payment. Do not worry, the CCA rules still apply.

No news is good news ??? The longer it goes on with no CCA the more confident I am that none can be found . Actually look forward to postman now !
  • I'm in the process of writing letters to various companies requesting my CCA, using the advice from this thread.

However I had a couple of questions.

Does anyone know if student loans are covered by this ?

Has anyone had any response from student loans, particularly the Honours Student Loans company ?

If they issue the annual deferment statement will that count ?

I'm going to write anyway - don't ask, don't get, but I'd be interested to know about responses, particularly with how to handle their response and the loans status as debt. (ie, it was created by the govt, so has it been excluded from certain credit legislation).

    Thanks

i have had a letter back from my dca. All the letter said is that they have rejected my proposal (i only asked for the CC).

12+2 is up on the 25. How shall I procede from there.

Don't worry, art. It is a standard 'ploy' for dca's to claim that the £1.00 is a 'payment' towards the 'alleged debt'.
It does not, however, alter their legal obligations one iota. The important thing is that you have requested the cca, and havekept a copy of your request, with proof that it was received by the dca.
As the 12+2 days are now up, you can send them the letter that is on the following link:

  • My CCA request 12 plus 2 days is up tomorrow and I'm not sure what to do next.

The debt is with natwest and passed to intrum justita. The last person to contact me was intrum justita spain in 2006.I never paid intrum justita but continued to pay natwest. I understand that the debt is now in dispute but I really don't know what to do next. Nobody has contacted me since 2006 - I'm the one who has contacted them because I wanted to try and sort the situation out and find out who I should be paying. Natwest told me to pay intrum justitia but before I was happy to do that I decided to do the CCA request. Natwest also said they would take the charges off the debt if I can prove that I have made the payments. Non of this was in writing it was over the phone. Intrum justita told me the debt has been passed back to the client and natwest said they aren't dealing with it - again all this is verbal.
This is a large debt that is spiralling because of interest and charges that are being added on.
Sorry if it all sounds confusing but I am confused and need some guidance. I know I posted about this previously but now the 12 plus 2 days are up I thought I'd ask for help.

Hi nmnm - You, too, need to send the letter in the link I posted in my last post.
