I'm also minimal and dont have many belongings. Finally I would expect any potential partner to also have their own place so any moving in together ideas would be based on 50/50, example would be we both owned one beds and sold to buy a two bed. Anyway thats unlikely, so in the short/medium term I'd prefer to minimise debts.
Incidentally, the advantage of a cluster house over a flat is that you can do your own gardening. The disadvantage is that you have to do your own gardening.3 -

Here in London cluster houses are really rare compared with flats. 1-bed houses aren't common at all and although flats are common everywhere here, 1-bedroom ones are a minority.
There's just so much more utility to a 2-bed.There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker2 -
Previously I bought a 2 bed maisonette for investment reasons, 2 beds had higher rents than 1.
Now my view has changed, its for living in this time and the 1 bed freehold appeals more.0 -
Go for the one that you can see yourself being happiest living in.1

I'm none the wiser. Is it the same thing as a terraced house?
They're usually two-storied with one bedroom and bathroom upstairs and a kitchen and living room downstairs. If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing1 -

I really like that one. The spiral staircase will make the rooms feel much bigger.
Big garden is also a plus for me, though it's a lot of lawn to mow if you dislike doing stuff like that.
