She didn't even allude to such nonsense in the interview.
Your ISP wouldn't necessarily know if any digital media was being received.
If they ditch the license fee then the best options for them would be to go either the German way (every household is taxed an amount toward PSB's). Or, the Swedish system (Levy a tax to everyone over 18 who pays income tax)....
Op - apologies for hijacking your thread
Op - the easiest way is to set up another email account such as google (I'm using account not address as I believe that is confusing you) using no identifiable info to set it up whatsoever and only using it to verify email accounts as and when you set up an account for anything
This way you also keep spam away from your main email account too
Given how there's now only 4 odd channels out of hundred ish that don't show ads , it's hardly much of a change to how you view a channel if the BBC were to goto an ad model and you save £159 every year (again this is mse after all)https://youtu.be/UsdtyuSmoXs?feature=shared
Oh wait.......
Not sure how you came to your conclusion.........But I hope you get better soon0 -
How much of that stuff is farmed out to BBC Studio's now?Should the BBC be allowed to have channels that operate under the BBC name that shows adverts?Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0

I wasn't arguing with you, just correcting the error you made when you asked me this .. "So you're telling me that the bbc only shows films, comedies, politics, news, documentaries and soaps?"
I don't work for the BBC and never have.
All that said, I get both sides of the discussion, However, we'll always be paying for it, just the method to be sorted.Drinking Rum before 10am makes you

All non bbc radio adverts have ads and are free to listen to, in fact so are the bbc ones too as you don't need a TV licence to listen to the radio (pretty obvious really)
In fact in case you didn't know you only need a tv licence if you watch shows as they are broadcast not if you watch catchup or on demand so that further restricts what you need a licence to watch
In fact if the population of Britain stopped watching live telly and simply watched things on catch up then we could force the bbcs hand to change to an ad model but I digress as that would never happen
Bit like forcing fuel companies to drop their prices by simply only using the cheapest company until the other companies drop their prices below the cheapest then changing to another one until that company drops their prices and so on and so on until it is confirmed that the price is not inflated then going back to norm fuelling
Oh and in case you missed what everybody else automatically got (you did) I couldn't be bothered to list every type of show the bbc makes or farms out to broadcasting companies as that would be ridiculous

Not sure who the everybody else is who automatically got whatever, but, it was you who asked the question, I just answered.
The rest of your post is irrelevant, showing you didn't even have the courtesy to read what I had said properly.
Have a good weekend....

FYI when somebody says everybody else it actually means everybody else except for you , which means of course means everybody else (except you) which read my post. I'm not how else I can explain it to you.
If you require any further clarification what "everybody else" means then feel free to use Google or any search engine of your choice. Search engines are very good for this kind of thing.
It's my weekend in work so I'm not sure you could say I'm having a good weekend but at least I'm being paid to reply to irrelevant posts which does brighten up my working weekend0 -
As Sunak didn't save us from the huge rise, I'm going to join the other 400,000 people who won't pay the tax from April. The one or two programmes that I actually want to watch and the chance to watch ancient programmes on iplayer are not worth £169.50 to me.There are plenty of free streaming channels I can have on as background noise.I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....
(except air quality and Medical Science)

Still not reading properly though are you? Not really sure why you are so insulting, but, if it's helping you get through the weekend, that's good.
