I'm confused, you say "just use the Smart Parking Template Defence and play the game through to discontinuance this Summer.",

"I wouldn't alter the Smart Parking defence even by a word. No need!"

and

and then someone also said "As above,  the content must be accurate and true, so alter paragraphs 2 and 3 as required"

this guidance all conflicts. so what should i be doing or not doing?

It's only removing one sentence. It's your defence. You decide! Makes no difference.
