Thanks MF and Skint
Today has been a struggle. I spoke to boss and finished early and went and lay in a darkened room again for a bit. My sole contribution to the move today has been sticking a sticker on xmas decs saying garage and checking out some lights and then deciding against them. I've read some stuff on how moving affects people with my conditions and it is all within the range of normal but that's no consolation when you'd prefer to be more super-human....
My main achievement of the day was to nil tax my car but that brought a reminder that I'll have to update the relevant gov depts when I finally do move... All adding to the mental load. I also picked up my prescriptions I keep making lists. I was reminded today of the benefits of a gratitude log so here goes...
Gratitudes- Family member safe despite nearly crashing earlier
- Some positive contact with wider family this week
- Understanding boss and finishing early. Grateful that on days like today when I'm battling exhaustion and overwhelm - I can still see the bigger picture and that this feeling won't last
- Very nice house now and to come
- I'm not forced to move like some are - this is a choice
- The cat seems to have been flea free for a couple of weeks now which is helping our relationship!!
- Softness of my cat - just found a new toy for it to play with
- Currently in one of the best financial situations I've ever been in
- The blessings of seeing my art around me and making art - and the role that will have in making my new place feel more like home.
- I discussed a while ago with my counsellor that one of the first things I will do after moving in is get some of my art up around the place so it feels more like home. TBH I do that even when I go away to a cottage!!
- I've made 3 or 4 paintings in the last few days and while not my best they are bright and cheerful and included experimenting with new techniques / products (I already had).
- I've decluttered 3 tubes of used up paint this week
- Nice food!
- Cleaner hopefully due to come tomorrow
- Dentist check up was clear and while I hate going to the hygienist - grateful that a slot opened up tomorrow so I won't need to travel especially for it
- Some meds that were out of stock now back in stock...
- Just had a McD's which while not my fave filled a gap
- Very grateful the seller's of my new house are leaving a dishwasher and TV for free. It all helps.
- Grateful I saved paid holiday to cushion the move

I've just looked online and one drug I'm on isn't recommended for you with another I'm on. I'll try not taking that tomorrow to see if it helps. Apparently this relatively new drug I'm taking can cause drowsiness. I wasn't taking it consistently before but have for the last week of so - and it's in that week I've felt worse. Let's hope it's as simple a fix as that.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Hope the drug switch helps.
You only need to keep this hard focus up for a couple of weeks, once you are on the other side you can rest and take your time sorting everything out. It will all be worth it in the end."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee4 -
Hope you get your meds in order
I think having loads of CG soup is a great idea - I would do as much of buying healthy quick food as possible - bread, pasta (maybe to add into soup) tins of tuna and massive amounts of soup, frozen veg and cheese to add into soup - maximising good nutrition with speedy cooking is an art form and given you have so much on and not been well
Buying even ready cooked chicken could be useful for adding nutrition - become an artist on the food bowl (like Wagamama ) adding different things into each days soup bowl to make it more funDON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

Thanks KK, Jwil and LWAP
I have been to the hygienist so that's another thing ticket off the list.
Cleaner came slightly later than planned but still got a couple of hours together sorting stuff, shrink wrapping in vacuum bags and bubble wrapping. She pulled everything out that she could see from under DS's bed. Still following the plan of moving stuff to DD's room so it's easier to see what's left to do. Lovely to have some support. If the date I suggested goes ahead - she may not be able to be there that day but could come part of the following day. I may need to think about whether anyone else could support me instead - but I doubt it as they have childcare responsibilities etc and others may inflame rather than help the situation.
Going to have some veg soup now and then start work. I have some coq au vin leftovers from yesterday I can have for tea with some shop bought mash and carrot and swede crush and frozen peas so that will help too. I'm still slowly losing weight which is nice. I feel better in myself today - how much of that is down to not taking the tablet and how much the support of my cleaner I don't know but either way it's positive. I think that medication that I've just stopped has also been making me feel cold as I felt a lot warmer today but have also been more active.
