£450 has gone into AVCs this month.
I feel utterly exhausted. I've told my boss I owe time and offered to use leave to cover it which was accepted. I've also booked a half day off this week and another half day next week when my cleaner is due to be here. That will then hopefully make it easier to get stuff done as I'll have someone else here. If I need to I'll rope in DD but she's travelling more for work currently and exhausted.
I still need to list the bike she wants to sell and she needs to collect the other. I want to list a chest of drawers in the garage that I still need to empty. I never remember to look in it so it is useless to me. I may go and do a bit on that now as my brain is all fuzzy and it may wake me up. It's bad when you are on meds that are supposed to speed up your brain and you still feel on a go slow!Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

The good news is that the chest of drawers was empty apart from a few bolts for a nearby dismantled cupboard. I've therefore put those safely in a see through sandwich bag. I think I'll just ask the handyman to come - which I know I said I would over the Xmas break but I've not called him in practice yet. Once I have a fixed date - I'm thinking of asking him to come the following day after my move as well - and that way hopefully work through a list of jobs for me - including changing all the locks.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Finished early again as I've felt totally exhausted all day. Even tho I did 3 negative c19 tests when I was ill - apparently I could still have had it which together with the house stuff would explain the fatigue - or it could all be house related I don't know. On tenterhooks while I await for all three parties to confirm the date.
I rang the handyman earlier and he said he'd call round but hasn't yet. I'm trying to be really strict with myself on the letting surplus items go before the move. Don't want to take a load of 'delayed decisions' with me when it isn't necessary. Really hoping I feel brighter tomorrow. I have a meeting 'first thing' by my standards - but will then have to leave part way through to go to the dentist. Best to get it over with before I move. Should be just a check up all being well.
I bought milk when I posted stuff earlier - but ideally I need to focus on clearing down the fridge and freezer and if at all possible avoid/reduce how much I spend on food between now and whenever I'm due to leave. I don't want to end up with lots of waste. Today eaten porridge, CG veg soup and having macaroni for tea. I ought to eat some mackerel but not feeling it. May eat that tomorrow but if I don't will have to bin it.
I feel sleepy - and did yesterday too - but daren't nap as then I wouldn't sleep tonight. Frustrating...Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Hope you perk up soon but moving is stressful so go easy. Getting rid motivation is good. Those bikes will free up loads of physical space so should give you a real boost once they go.Save £12k in 25 No 49

Hope you feel better soon. I'm always exhausted when I've got a high mental load, so it's probably a combination of illness and that. I agree with the comments about the tension of wondering if the house is okay or not, especially after that @rse covering survey 🙄😉 and then finding that it is, has led to a bit of a mini crash. That on top of having been ill and having a very busy head (moving is always tough) means I’m not surprised that you are feeling wiped. As others have said, cut yourself some slack. Glad you have some time to work alongside your cleaner - you will make loads of progress and enjoy the time as well 😊
Loving that there is too much sparkle ✨- didn’t think that was actually possible ….? 🤔✨🎉🦄🧚

Thanks KK, Blackcats, Lucielle Jwil, and TG
Handyman didn't show - but hopefully will another day.
I went and lay in a darkened room for a couple of hours after work which helped. I had macaroni for tea - which cooked while I dozed. I packed the dishwasher. I played with paint and then emptied a couple of baskets from the sofa. Making progress even if it's slow. I've spotted another basket on the sofa with mainly art supplies - and I have room in a set of plastic drawers for them so hopefully will move those before bed. I've wrapped 3 small paintings. Feel like I'm inching forward - but agree recent illness hasn't helped.
My buyer has finally acknowledged the messages from the weekend and today. I'm always nervous when they go quiet. He's going to return his forms in the next couple of days.
My CC is clear again. I've done my money shuffle. I had assumed I'd have to move £ out of savings to pay removals but that's now looking less likely as I reviewed the form I did for the solicitor and it said to send me my £ the day of completion. If that happens that's brilliant and means that I should be able to pay the removals from the completion funds - and cashflow the post redirection and home insurance easily enough.
Thanks for the feedback on the covers EH, I've bought some but will leave them in their cellophane and if I don't end up using them send them back. I found a cheaper supplier for the mattress cover at £13 - but still nowhere near the £4 you mentioned.
I've taken out some pre-packaged coq au vin from the freezer. I can have that with pre-bought mash and veg tomorrow and then there should be enough for a second day. I still have CG soup left. I bought a lot the other day as I could feel my cooking motivation/energy was low. Thankful for that decision.
Hope you are all having a good week.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030
