Hope you continue to heal - it always takes longer than one hopes .. sorry you still feeling ill though..
At least you can mentally strategise on next steps of make this house my home and glad your handy man is being useful.
Good food including chicken soup really helps .. I always liked tinned mandarin oranges when I was ill as a child - never eat them now .. but there is something in the sweetness and easy to digest...DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

If you can only eat half a banana at a time how about popping the rest in the freezer - you could then blitz it up later from frozen with some yogurt to make an ice-cream style option which might slip down nicely? Means you start out only planning to eat half the thing as well, which takes the pressure off a bit.
Jelly with peach slices in it it something I would find relatively easy to eat I think - and again you can just serve yourself a spoonful at a time. Less in a bowl or on a plate when someone is low appetite is less overwhelming and the feeling of clearing the plate is a better feeling that "I couldn't even manage THAT amount!" - you can always go back for the same amount again if you feel you could cope with eating a bit more.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Hello savingholmes. I hope you're feeling a little better. It's always worrying when you can't eat very much, especially when you're poorly as you need to keep your strength up.
Your handyman sounds amazing. I hope when he gets the invoice to you there's no surprise there. Also I hope you've received your refund for the flooring by now.

Thanks @catclaires
Will try hospital tomorrow. Very grateful for views.
Thanks too LWAP and EH.
I love mandarin orange jelly so that's a great idea.
Sis has come down from down South to take me out and help a bit this afternoon and evening. We managed to return a couple of blinds. We also went to the Rng3 again and got some bits including a curtain pole for my bedroom. I had to keep sitting down in their garden furniture section and felt utterly exhausted but still glad to have got out the house for a bit.
Delivery just came. They carried stuff into the kitchen for me.

I've just gone 32 hours without morphine plus less paracetamol so that feels a huge improvement. Sadly yesterday I really struggled to eat. Just hope today is better.
I've agreed weekly invoices with the handyman. He's not coming today but is tomorrow. I'm seeing him as part getting the house sorted and part the cost of being ill. He's a larger than life character and has offered a bit of company and security during this weird time.
My DD is moving soon with her BF's family and then she will be a lot closer to me again.
My sis hoovered downstairs yesterday, if I can I hope to hoover upstairs or try and get robovac working. It's still in its box.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030
