  • Me & My Monkeys, you must have some really interesting hobbies to earn £50 a week from them.
I earned £200 over the last year from mine, though the tax man now wants his cut.
My challenge for 2008 is to keep a roof over my head for one more year, lol.
    Good luck to everyone.

    Hi everyone,

As there are two New Years resolutions threads running at once, I've merged them both together.

    My resolutions -

-To use a sealed jar and save £1 a day
-To lose 1.5 stone by June
-To take advantage of my new garden and start growing some veg
-Limit myself to 'not cooking from scratch' once a week max
-Do the Grocery Challenge each month

I think these are achieveable. I especially look forward to someone digging out this thread in June and asking for an update! :rotfl:
  • :hello: hi

1 - grow more veg on allotment plot and garden
    2 - save a pound a day for christmas
    3 - meal plan more!
4 - wear and buy less clothes!
5 - create housekeeping schedule and stick to it!!
6 - bake cakes and bread more often
:j Where there is a will there is a way - there is a way and I will find it :j
  • Lose a stone and a half in weight
    Start making my own stock
    Find a veggie box scheme
    Use supermarkets less
When I get my mum's Kenwood Chef start making our own bread
Start growing my own (although I need to do something about the rabbits invading our garden first I think)

    Mine is to:

Grow vegies for the first time.
Learn how to use my sewing machine and actually make something presentable.
Put £5 a week away to help towards covering the gas bills (instead of having to find it all at once)
    Bake more.
    Knit more.
Start saving a little each month towards Christmas 2008:D

Ok, I'm moving into my new flat early in the new year (hopefully) so:

    > be more responsible with money in regards to going out
    > batch cooking
    > save more
    > start filing system for paperwork

    In other areas of life:

    > no more rubbish men windling their way into my life
    > lose a few pounds - ok a stone!
    > get fitter
    > new job - maybe abroad:confused:

Hi all - I'm new so thought I'd join in inspired by everyone here. Here's my list so far...:j

Sort paperwork (home and work) - I need a system so it doesn't build up.
Cut television viewing - I'm doing a course as well as working full time so need to get organised and do some studying too.
Get fit and use that gym membership - I'm skiing in February and it'll kill me if I don't shape up a bit. I've lost the weight that built up a while ago so don't look too bad but I am flabby.
Oh and housework, I need to get everyone organised (grown up kids and me) so I don't feel martyred and bad temptered and do it all.

That's about it (enough for a while!) Any tips?
