i missed this thread during the new year, but its a brilliantly motivational read:T .

i set myself a few goals at the beginning of the year and during the early months so i'll throw my list in the thread as well.

both me and DH have made a rule this year that we cant go up into the attic without bringing something down to throw away recycle or put in a charity bag.

i've joined mazzas £1 a day for christmas challenge and at the end of the week any coppers i have left are thrown into a demi john for the summer holidays - its already 1/2 full

when i draw my money out of the bank once a week ill sort it and put milk money, dinner money, loros, school clubs etc all to one side in a seperate purse so i know that the money is there for when its needed. ill keep my grocery money in a different purse.

to use a shopping list and cut down on un-necessary spending.

enter more competitions (and hopefully win lots)

to limit use of plastic shopping bags and try to always have enough fabric/or bags for life type shoppers with me.

keep on top of the ironing

sort through all my sewing kits adia silks and odds of wool and do something with them before buying any more. --im making good way with that by knitting squares for the charity thread

have a night out with DH once a month.

use up all the stores of cleaning stuff under the kitchen sink, its cluttered up with tons when i only need stardrops white vinegar and barkeepers friend.

use up all my stash of bath bombs, soaps, shampoo, bubblebaths etc. THat will clear loads of space in the cupboards in our room and the bathroom shelves.

well theres my list, there are other things that ill add to as i come across them. generally i want to be more organised with things like having birthday and christmas cards and pressies squirrelled away throughout the year

In a world that has decided that it's going to lose its mind, be more kind my friend, try to Be More Kind

I need to save money up, so what I have decided to do is starting from 1st January I am going to put a pound in a jar every day, so by 30th November I will - hopefully - have £335 saved towards next Christmas. Will let you know how I get on :D

I am doing this and am so thankful for your idea! I already have about £115 saved as sometimes I put in more than a pound.
