Octopus bid has been accepted, but don't expect this to be a money spinner as their bid was half what it was for earlier test sessions. Next step is to see what they're offering to us and allowing us to opt in.
Opt in is available, £1.75 same as last session.

6-7pm for us makes it easier just dinner done by 6pm then kick the kids out to go and see friends 😂😂

Looking at the nearby properties during sessions not many can be taking part.

If you normally cook before 6pm your baseline will be low, so you won't save much even if you turn everything off.  I'm not bothering with tonight's session as maximum I could make is less than £1.

Maybe you misinterpreted I said we will have dinner done for 6pm (to obviously get ready for this session) not the norm.

We will export 4-5kwh from the battery so £7-9 reward I suspect from today.

    Our baseload for 6-7pm is

Less than a £1 potential earnings for me today.

Nothing to lose by opting in, but I suspect that many won't bother as the savings for them have been so low to make it not worth the effort. I can see there is benefit in experimenting with different price levels as the testing continues. But at the same time I wonder if the scheme will just fizzle out as a result of people not bothering and becoming dis-engaged. Time will tell - be interesting to see if the scheme is run again next winter. I suspect that the scheme costs as much to run as it saves and the real objective is bringing people round to the idea that they can save money by load shifting in the hope of encouraging take up of smart tariffs.

    But who knows?

Wonder if it might be for a session tomorrow morning, as we haven't had one of those yet.
No, the ESO DFS industry notification says 8 February.

Opted in, not sure what's planned for dinner tonight but turning the heat pump off is usually a winner (though getting smaller now with the warmer weather) so we'll see.  It's definitely not even worth trying to get anyone else on board, the person doing the coming has the highest mental load of the whole household and doesn't need anything extra unnecessarily.

If it were a live event I'd speak to them about it because it would be much more important, but it's not.
