I like to stay on top of deletions as well particularly e-mails - that and keeping contacts clean cuts down on possible spread if hackedbaser999 said:
They’re not bugging me, since they’re ‘in the background’, I just assumed they could be deleted as I would old WhatsApp messages. I delete all old texts, WhatsApps etc if they’re no longer needed so it’s a housekeeping issue more than anythingSpoonie_Turtle said:If they're really bugging you, you could probably leave the … whatever it's called (channel?) then rejoin, see if that gets rid of the older messages.0 -

Deleting emails is also good from the environmental point of view. Waste data is all backed up somewhere in datacentres taking up space and requiring energy to maintain it. I'm trying to have a clear out of my old digital junk.

Leaving and rejoining doesn't work. The sender ie Octopus are the only ones who can delete the past messages.Spoonie_Turtle said:If they're really bugging you, you could probably leave the … whatever it's called (channel?) then rejoin, see if that gets rid of the older messages.0 -
Ah okay, I wasn't sure if you could only see messages from when you joined but it sounds like it's more akin to a web page where anyone can see past messages once they're there.t0rt0ise said:

The two quickest ways of finding out a session are signing up for notifications from Loop on X as I have found they seem to get their saving session notification out early or even better the National Grid ESO DFS update emails which you can then delete and remove yourself from the WhatsApp status updates?3

I've just been into OH's email account and with permission, deleted the contents of his Promotions folder which he never looks in. 38,000 emails must have been taking up a chunk of space out there somewhere.

There was a suggestion by Octopus at the start that there might be some free electricity sessions with Octoplus. These haven't happened but I've kept the whatsapp channel open just in case. For normal saver sessions I've signed up for the ESO emails.MultiFuelBurner said:The two quickest ways of finding out a session are signing up for notifications from Loop on X as I have found they seem to get their saving session notification out early or even better the National Grid ESO DFS update emails which you can then delete and remove yourself from the WhatsApp status updates?0 -
From what I understand they have happened, but only in some regions. I think the East of England region got a few in December.t0rt0ise said:

That's a separate scheme. The ones that are part of OctoPlus are yet to materialise, but it would make sense to hold them outside of the winter months when saving sessions are de rigeur.MattMattMattUK said:

I was hoping the powerups were e a different scheme as they were in existence before Octopoints.MattMattMattUK said:
