I’ve never really gotten my head around tracker, agile or flux -  but from what little I do know they do sound good especially if you are able to be flexible with your energy requirements.  Are they as good in winter when demand is high?
You don't have to be flexible at all with Tracker it's the same price all day.

Flux may work for you or Agile may be better with your solar and battery setup. Plenty of apps like Octopus compare to let you know what products may instantly save you money without you changing a thing.

The next round of tests are slightly different in that if high enough participation levels are expected NGESO will be operating the tests with “competitive” pricing rather than the standard £3/kWh the tests have paid out up to this point (translates to £2.25/kWh for Octopus customers).
They didnt exactly pay a fortune the last lot of sessions - I can see interest in participation waning if rewards decreased further - at least for myself anyway 😊
    Something is better than noting.

Nothing against the folks playing the system with exporting battery power. But expect a change to see actual usage cut being the play in the future.

Exporting during Saving Sessions isn't 'playing the system'. Octopus encourage it to help balance the grid during high demand.
    Thanks did not know that.

But worded as saving sessions does not imply that 👍"Get ready to save power & earn rewards" 😊

Don't forget that most people don't have solar, and even those who do don't all have batteries. They are aiming their message at the mass audience, start adding in stuff about exporting energy and confusion will reign.

Like many things, the headline doesn't tell the whole story. Although temporarily storing energy for a time it is needed could be regarded as saving it.

Does anyone have any idea if the test events have been confirmed for Jan yet? I think I had read that there were supposed to be two but I cannot find that info anymore.

This year I think its been even worse than last year, with various sessions seemingly requiring to be on whatsapp to be informed, on one session I noticed it by accident on the app, and got an email alert over a day and a half later with less than hour notice.  Yet they knew about it almost two days before as the app was letting me opt in.
The few I took part in the new formula has been brutal, likely because my historic usage on peak is low anyway.  Given octoplus trashes the wheel of fortune, I think I will leave octoplus which in turn will dump me out of this scheme.

I have a saver session every day, being on Agile. I just make a bit more effort on official saver days just to be public spirited (although the 8888888888888888 Octopoints prize would be nice!).

I prefer a smaller max prize so there is more small prize wins, can really feel the effect on the octoplus wheel.
Had 6 spins on it all one penny (8 points).
My last 6 spins on normal wheel was 4x £1 and 2 losses.
