Testing out real life late notice scenarios is a part of it as explained by Octopus early on.

National grid ESO DFS first thing 8am, Twitter alert second which triggered octo aid then whatsapp just received 1 hour 10 mins before event.

This will test out Octopus servers with the increased traffic now from the WhatsApp message.

Yes, and also testing out customer responses. The email from Loop actually stated that

"It's shorter notice than usual because National Grid ESO want to find out how responsive our customers can be. The grid has to balance every second of every day. The quicker Loop customers can respond, the better."

"No guarantee Octopus will be able to retrieve smart meter readings for every customer for any particular savings session within timescale Octopus update accounts with outcomes, in those instances Octopus have been giving customer Octopoints worth £1"

1.92 kwh exported. With a bit of baseline credit for our non-use during that time we should get about £4.60, plus just under 30p for the export, which only cost about 36p to import, even allowing for circular losses.

But those of us who can export need to have something to export.  On a grotty day like today that has to be imported energy. Our panels have produced 0.2kwh today.
