they say we aren’t using any less which is laughable as we were actively exporting on the last 2x sessions - just due to what was happening with the solar battery at the time. I don’t get it

Do you usually export at that time of day? You'd need to be exporting more than normal to get anything from the saving session.

You can check your baseline here, along with seeing how much you exported during the session:

    https://savingsessions.streamlit.app/

Here are my results for the recent sessions, per that app site (yesterday's are still pending which is why they're showing as zero). You can see my baseline has been negative, ie. I usually export during that period:

The app isn't perfect - Octopus paid me 200 points on the 16th, not 192 - but it's close enough for this purpose.

If you normally export during the session you need to export more, I am on IOF and I always export my batteries max , if there's more solar I export more e.g. 16 points and 32 the last twice. Peanuts I know, tonight 730-830 my battery will be at 20% ergo nothing left except a tiddly for sun shine. If I could stop my export between 1800-1900 I could export 2.5kW for the hourr , that would get me £1.25 less the 2.5@28p nett 55p 😎

I nearly missed that the times are 7:30-8:30 tonight - I assumed these were normally 6-7pm.

For those with a Tesla PW3 who may need to update their ToU tariffs to export 7:30-8:30pm, Tesla have been having an issue with their servers today and I wasn't able to update my ToU tariff details. Just got off the phone with Tesla who advised logging out of the app and logging back in again should fix the issue, which it did for me, so all set to dump the battery at 7:30pm tonight.

Hmmm - ok I didn’t realise that, probably because I put 2 and 2 together and assumed the reason I wasn’t getting the emails anymore was because of that. I have signed up now using that link.

51p is more like it, especially when I end up drawing from grid later on cuz my battery has been raided/emptied by octopus! 😁

You gave Octopus control of your battery? Are you sure that’s wise lol

It's a no brainer between April and October, it's a net cost on IOF and you get 3 hours of 28p export, 21.1p p the rest of the time.

At the moment, I'm not sure.

Iof was very good for exporting last year.

I'm on IOG now due to a new EV. Got the charge pack thing on top. Early days. Waiting for info on credits etc.
