As a battery owner on the Cosy tariff, these sessions are still a no-brainer for us. During winter, our normal import and export during the most common 6-7pm period is zero as we are running on battery and there is no solar. So to qualify, all we need to do is export something during the session (even 100W) to qualify for the free Happy Hour. We can export any excess stored energy and recharge from the grid 3h later at 10pm, earning a few pence on the arbitrage. As the amount of excess stored energy diminishes over winter (we will need most of the battery to provide heating) the main benefit becomes the free Happy Hour, unless they pay significantly more for the export. A free hour in winter is probably worth around £2 to us given our cost of import. So I export a few hundred Watts twice a week and get £2 of free electricity each weekend.

Pleased to see the Happy Hours continuing - although I think a number of us suspected that they would, didn't we.

I have 3 hours currently outstanding, two of which will get used this week, with the other rolling over now. We do seem to still be managing to save something during most of the saving sessions so hopefully the free hours will keep coming!

The cynic in me thinks that the "2 or 3" tokens probably means 3.

They also say they can cancel an upcoming session, which could be frustrating if you've not charged your batteries overnight in anticipation of the incoming HH.

They've also extended the time to credit the HH's to 14 days from the current 10.

    But anyway, I'm still in!

I think I've just been credited for the missing amounts from the weekend I thought they under-compensated me for the 'free' hours. TBH I can't be bothered to put the effort into working out what's going on. And it's got to the time of year when I won't be exporting during power downs as I'll want to hang on to the charge, so I think I'm unlikely to do much more in terms of happy hours for now.

I think more likely they just wont make slots available if necessary, they say they may need to skip sessions. Not cancel.

Shame Axle do not support Tesla. I'm guessing Tesla will not make it easy for them, given they are due to launch their own offering into the UK market soon.
