ok i did turn everything off inc fridge freezer for a hour only thing was powered up was router and combi (the pump didnt kick in) and now looking on the app its saying i used 4.2p which is about 50w at 6pm where the heck has that 50w went to ive no idea a bit gutted, (also nothing on standby tv etc)

What does your hub/router take? My VM hub (in modem mode) draws about 12W, and my separate WiFi router takes about another 12W, but varies with demand. What else do you have using WiFi? Smart switches, video doorbells, cameras, then there's possibly a DECT telephone base unit, external PIR lighting, alarm system? What does the combi (and associated thermostat(s) etc draw? What is your typical average base load?
I assume you mean 50Wh was used in the hour, so how sure are you that something drawing, say, 250W didn't kick in for a short time?
thanks for the reply victor, for my router i'm on VM with the new style router, other than my mobile connected to the wifi and laptop which is on battery usage, the hive thermostat is using batterys and the hive hub also turned off, no home phone nothing at all else connected, and as for the heating sys its a WB combi, but cant see that pulling 50w for no reason in the 30 min slot
    From https://www.ispreview.co.uk/index.php/2024/03/the-2024-electricity-costs-of-big-uk-isp-home-broadband-routers.html/2#google_vignette

    Virgin Media
    HUB 4 (TG3492LG-VMB)
    12W IDLE, 15.3W LOAD – 30W PSU

    HUB 5 (Sagemcom F3896LG-VMB)
    13.49W IDLE, 15.51W LOAD – 36W PSU

    HUB 5x
    9.17W IDLE, 11.87W LOAD – 36W PSU

So there's something. Just repeat the switching off and read your meter, then check it again 30 minutes later until you can track it down.
Do you have an IHD that shows current load? It's fairly responsive for electricity if not useless for gas.

Have opted in and will do some export today as our batteries are nicely topped up and it doesn't look like we'll get caught out when topping up early tomorrow.

Waste of time when the notice given is so short - the email arrived ~ 40 minutes before the savings period - since I'm not permanently logged into my email accounts , no use to me - I picked it up about 2 hours afterwards !!

At least some of us try to let you know via this forum and it was about 10 minutes from the NESO announcement.
