Octopus's bid was rejected so looks like no savings session this evening :-(

They Did get one bid accepted, two rejected. So should still be on.
I can't see the accepted Octopus bid on the csv file. Where is it? I've still opted in though.
Apologies I think I was looking at the wrong date! They also confirmed that they didn't get accepted on twitter
"We were turned down for today's DFS, but we couldn't let you miss out, so this one's on us!"
I just saw that on facebook. Thought I was going bonkers looking and not seeing. Another 18 pence then.. how generous!

Just out of curiosity, what's in it for Octopus if they were running yesterday's session at a loss and then another loss-making exercise today?

Is it really because they're so generous, is it for publicity or something else that's too clever for me to think of?

They might have a lot of profit from earlier saving sessions, as it was £3 from the ESO and £2.25 paid to us (for test sessions).

Yes some admin costs and other such stuff, plus spot prizes, bonus points etc.

But if they've still got some money left over from those payments, get it used!
PPI success. Banding success. Double Dip PCN cancelled! South facing solar (Midlands) and battery. Savings Session supporter (is it worth it now!?)

For those that don't find what Octopus do a bit qwerky and maybe fun......maybe you just don't get it?

Have to say I liked the idea - not my cup of tea personally but it’s something a bit fun and unique while being very on brand for Octopus.

No obligation on anyone to join but there was a decent set of prizes for those who did, and for those who don’t wish to partake there’s plenty more that Octopus has to offer. The free weekly Greggs has certainly been going down a treat!
It was worth joining in, would we do it everytime....no probably not.

Ooooh yeah the free Gregg's has been great and because Mrs MFB has an O2 SIM I get a free bacon roll this morning from Greggs as well 🤣

Then off to the gym of course

How do you get the bacon roll? I'm on O2 and so is OH, although he's on PAYG, I have a cheap contract.

O2 priority app it's either one free coffee a week or bacon/sausage bap Fri/Sat or sausage roll Fri/Sat. Just one out of the three offers each week

Considering my OH only pays £8 a month for sim only 12 month contract including 20gb data its like they are paying us each month 🤣🤣

Ooh 38p for us yesterday.  All adds up!
  • I just got the whatsapp notification of today's session.....but Octopus must have just copied and pasted from yesterday because it's still referring to 29th February!

Just Octopus being Octopus, bucking the trending of musty old school energy suppliers.

    A welcome change imo.

Opted in today and then TOTALLY forgot *facepalm*
It looks like we used more than the baseline at 6pm and I literally cannot remember what was happening less than 3 hours ago to know why.  Ah well.
