They have zero obligation to furnish you with evidence untill it gets to court proceedings
That's quite true. There is a worry that the police may take that request as an indication that the allegation is being challenged. However, in most cases common sense prevails and the photographs will be provided, whatever is mentioned in the request. There is little in it for the police to behave pedantically.0 -

If the uncertainty is due to a lack of record-keeping, then the responsible person(s) may also be charged, and face six points and a fine, costs etc.... I have just looked at the time of the offense, 5.39, I have just looked at my timesheet and I finished work at 5.25The vehicle, I assume, was parked near my home at that time, ready for the next days work.
Why, because you clocked off at 5:25 (BTW - do you have reliable independent evidence that you clocked off then?) do you assume that the vehicle must have been parked near to your home at 5:39?
Is what you are trying to say that it is a vehicle provided by your employer for work and which you also use to take you home after you clock off, and which you park at home ready for work the next morning? And that you are 100% certain that you would not have been driving it just 14 minutes after clocking off? Do you only clock off after you've parked the vehicle after returning from work?0 -

Do you only clock off after you've parked the vehicle after returning from work?My works vehicle is not insured for personal use, so finished work means it is no longer in use. No one else used it, so I assume that either they have got the time wrong or they have got a digit wrong from the number plate.I have no memory of which route I took that day, so until I get photo evidence I don't know which one.The issue is made more complex by them not having my correct name, it seems like they do make mistakes!0 -
You haven't really answered the question though -- do you:
a) drive home, park up and then clock off
b) clock off and then drive home and park up
Arguably, if the insurance is for business use ONLY, you may not be insured for driving home under either scenario0 -

People are trying desperately to help you sevenhills - but all your responses gives the impression that you are being evasive.
You have used the word 'assume' a few times regards things that you cannot be 100% sure of.
Even in the last post you have not answered LightFlares question as to whether it is (a) or (b)
Your answer is neither (a) or (b)
To almost everyone this sounds evasive and will arouse suspicion that you are deliberately not giving clear answers.
If this does go to court they will make you appear to be trying to conceal the truth.
Maybe you are, maybe you're not - but your answers are not gaining you any sympathy.2 -

I give up - nothing is clear to me, and I'm sure many others.
You do appear to be concealing something by incomplete answers.
You have still not said whether its (a) or (b)
You don't seem to want to give a full answer.
Responses like these will not help you.
If you can't see that, you are going to have a hard time convincing anyone that you have done nothing wrong.
I genuinely wish you good luck.

How do you know you were at home at the time?. I'll mention your reference to the time again:
"I have just looked at the time of the offense, 5.39, I have just looked at my timesheet and I finished work at 5.25. The vehicle, I assume, was parked near my home at that time, ready for the next days work."
I've asked you a number of questions which a court will ask itself or you if you are prosecuted and you haven't really addressed them. You haven't asked for photographs although it seems pretty certain your vehicle was involved. You have said this is because of the name issues. Well if it was my vehicle and I doubted it was at the alleged location at a time I believed it was elsewhere, I'd want to see them. It's clear you have decided what you are going to do so I think I'm out now unless anything startlingly new crops up. Good luck and do let us know how it goes.we also use an app that tracks our vehicles and who is driving them. The app doesn't always work, but it probably was.0 -
