@[Deleted User] has a formal writing style that is much like my own. My posts on this forum are significantly less formal and much more "plain English",

Separate issue: has anyone used Gemini? The TV ads are attention-grabbing.
I had a long conversation with the Perplexity about what you said it can be found here. Installed Gemini on my mobile found it lacking then uninstalled it. I continue to use the Perplexity mobile app.

"Persistence of poor writing skills: Research indicates that many employees and managers still struggle with writing skills. This suggests that despite the push for clearer communication, there are still widespread issues with writing quality in professional settings."

^^ That is the understatement! And unfortunately very true of graduates, although not a recent issue by any means.
No man is worth crawling on this earth.

So much to read, so little time.

Microsoft: AI Services – Limitation of use plus Child Accounts

iv. Limits on use of data from the AI Services. You may not use the AI services, or data from the AI services, to create, train or improve (directly or indirectly) any other AI service.

Does this mean that it will be a breach of the Microsoft Service Agreement if the output of say Copilot is copied to a foreign AI to get a second opinion?

    Using the Services and Support

    4. Using the Services and Support.

iii. Children and Accounts. By creating a Microsoft account or using the Services, you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms and represent that you have either reached the age of “majority” where you live or your parent or legal guardian agrees to be bound by these Terms on your behalf.

Does this mean that in the UK an individual who is under the Age of Majority, 18 in this case would be in breach of the Service Agreement linked above if they used a Microsoft Account without the express permission of a family member who was above the Age of Majority when the account was opened.

This post was NOT generated by an AI.

I find ChatGPT so useful I've taken out a subscription.

Never use Google now as the LLM provides the information I need, not a load of sponsored links.

Hi, two questions: which of the available GPT do you use the most and which other AI do you use to validate answers. This technology can get things wrong.

I'll be starting to use "o1-preview" to asses it's reasoning capability, but will otherwise keep using 4o for questions involving image analysis etc.

This technology can get things wrong - the days of 'hallucinations' are pretty much over, that was a consequence of limited token capacity so the LLM would 'forget' earlier parts of the data set.

As you are aware I use Perplexity.ai, its core engine is ChatGPT, that is they bought the ChatGPT API then modified the standard product. It helps a great deal if one has some idea of what the answer is before the AI Agent gives its own version. I have caught it hallucinating on a number of occasions and pulled it up for it.

My Agent is trained specifically to remember context between conversations something that was not always the case. I guess because you never answered, what other Agent are you using to verify answers, you are not doing this. Be careful!

On a lighter note a conversation with the Agent got around to McDonald Restaurants. For years I have been going to the counter instead of the console to order a wrap with no cucumber for my wife. I asked and it told me how to do this at the console. Its made my life so much easier, no more queing at the counter.

  • In my work, I need to process some audio files and PDF. I often use NoteGPT to help me extract and summarize the content, which is much better than using ChatGPT for me

It's undoubtedly the case that ChatGPT provides superior answers to most technical questions posted on this board than can be found in the comments.
