YORKSHIRELASS said:CofG DS lives in a flat where the roof has been leaking for months. The landlord isn't interested and the letting agents are useless. Him and his mate pay £1000 a month for this dump and are frightened of making a fuss in case they get kicked out.
Long 9.5 hours at the paid stuff. Appraisal went well but they do tell you what you want to hear don't they. Maybe that's being negative. I can't see my workload reducing much though.
I only have tomorrow at the paid stuff then a few much needed days off when I can gently catch up with the flying and get some rest.
there’s stung on the .gov website
DW, TD and WM locked and loaded.

Rosie says "Hi!

Very sorry to hear about your mum's double diagnosis, Valli, but at least you have confirmation of what you're dealing with and can plan for the eventualities. I do hope your dad is keeping firm hold of the car keys xxx
I somehow managed not to get wet today. There was a downpour just before I finished my stint at Action Heart, and I thought I would get soaked walking back to the car, but it had stopped by the time I left the building. Having seen the weather forecast, I am cancelling the trip out with K, W and M on Thursday - I won't feel safe driving on the motorway in a heavy storm. But I am still having W here tomorrow, and K and M will be staying for about an hour when they drop W off. Better make some scones to go with the coffee, then!
I have made some progress with the admin but there is plenty more to be done if I wake up early tomorrow. I'm off to bed now and have reminded DH that we need breakfast at the proper time, ie soon after 8.00. Just hoping... I shall also need to hoover round before K comes: she has got back pain and I don't want her making it worse.
(((Hugs))) to all in need, and sweet dreams to everyone xxx11 -
Morning xx
Valli - I was relying on others saying the right words. I'm more of a 'smother with a hug' person, because I never know what to say. Please consider yourself well and truly hugged ❤
I'm up, dressed, made my bed, packed my lunch, eaten breakfast and I'm supping my brew. It must be a work day! I've gathered up my squishy hugs and growls to take with me. Today is the last day of having half a clue to what I'm doing. It all changes tomorrow. Not itsy bitsy tweaking but turn it upside down and inside out wrecking ball changes. And two of my therapy colleagues will be saying goodbye today. 😥 K always makes me laugh. And A has been my mentor from the beginning. Ten years. And taught me so much. A sad day.
Just got to survive this week then I'm on Annual Leave. That made a few eyes widen when people realised but ...shrugs.
I'll put out the recycling and feed the birds before I trot off. (It's more of a trudge than a trot tbh). Birthday cards to write and presents to wrap tonight for delivery tomorrow. Must remember to return DSil's cake tin etc... been sat on my kitchen worktop waiting to go home for months.
Have a good day. Remember: you're amazing 😊

Morning all,
Well done, Round, you hit the mark. More hugs coming your way, Valli x
Good luck today, Round. And remember that you, too, are amazing x
YL, hugs for you. I know you never ask, but I think that you need some flylady hugging x
Awake early, but finally pulled myself out of bed about an hour ago. Bedding is stripped and in the wm. The foggy morning has started to brighten up, so I may just be able to get the washing outside for a while, although it is very still so how much use that will be, I don’t know. Library book renewed online. 2nd cuppa being supped while I search around for some guag, or failing that, a good kick up the derrière.
I need to find something out of the freezer for dinner, then maybe set to on cleaning the bathroom, remaking the bed, running the vacuum cleaner around. And all of that is really just procrastination for the admin that is croaking in the corner.
Hugs to you all. As Round said, we are all of us amazing. I am dusting down my best smile (more of a grimace, but hey ho), à la Mademoiselle xx10 -
Morning all.
@Valli huge hugs re your Mum xxx
@Natty68 love the new pup and the was his ears flop!
Didn't get round to posting last night, but I did clean the living room and hallway and brought in a load of logs ready for Storm Ciaran which is due to hit tomorrow night.
Also tidied up the side yard a bit. Almost there just another couple of bits to sort and it's all ready for the log delivery on Thursday.
I'll bottom out the kitchen this morning.
I am going to make four small quiches this morning, one for lunch and three for the freezer.
Also need to finalise my Mr T order for delivery tomorrow.I am the leading lady in the movie of my life

Massive flying effort (for me, anyway) put in this morning. I don’t like flying like this but I have…dusted and vacuumed the whole house, cleaned bathrooms, renewed and topped up what needed doing. Felt like more. Washing out on the line and I need to remember to get it in soon in case of the forecasted rain, Mr M due to deliver soon, pastry and sausage meat defrosting for a sausage plait creation later. Enough procrastination, I need to get to the admin. Although I do have a pj pattern to figure out, given that my favourite pjs literally fell apart last week…10

Hi everyone
90 mins of WUDUPA done to catch up (I fell very behind. I missed my dishwasher this morning!). Floors vacuumed, beds made, washing put away and another load washed and now drying. Anything is better than nothing today!
New mattress is coming on 10th. Very excited as we've never had an expensive (to us!) Brand new one. Will have to give it extra special care.Married 40y.o. mum of an autistic 11y.o. Carer/SAHM.
