Not happy with that outcome!!! Now to try and sort out broadband!! Anyone had experience with ending mid-contract?If there has been a price increase in the last 30 days you can use the get out clause or if you tell them you are facing financial difficulties they have a legal obligation to find a solution so cancelling 'luxury' services is something they cannot penalise you for. They may want you to pay the remainder of the contract term fees.. thats what happens with phone contracts.. they will try to reduce your package to a more affordable one.. look at their introductory ffers and see if you can get them to match itLB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)10 -

This morning after I had administered DH's two sets of eye drops I sent a text to my neighbour who has had water coming in to her kitchen (she is on the top floor and the roof needs some serious work) to see how things were. She has been in contact with the managing agent who sent two roofers on Friday to look and they said that a previous repair done few months ago following water ingress had been done very badly and failed, thus causing the problem to reoccur. We had a lot of rain at the weekend and she said that a lot of water is still coming in. She wanted me to contact the managing agent on her behalf and I rang several times but couldn't get through and in the end sent a polite but no-nonsense email to the person whom we deal with but got an out of office. She is back tomorrow so we will see what happens.By this time it was nearly noon so I decided to go for my walk, before lunch, but within two minute of setting off it started to rain so I just nipped into a nearby shop and bough the paper for DH and then went home again. I fiddle-faddled around for the next 45 mins then made lunch after which I went to the hospital to get my test results. After that I decided to walk home (over 3 miles) which really got my step count up, stopping off at the shops on the way back to buy a few bits.Shortly after arriving back it was time to make tea for DH and coffee for me. DH spotted what looked suspiciously like brownie crumbs on the carpet so I vacc'd them up and whilst I had the vac out did the rest of the sitting room carpet and the hall. I'm now having a mocktail and some crisps before starting on supper.11

Thank you, Natty, for the listy. I hope all is going well in the new house.
I’ll be in in my usual haphazard way, and trying to try harder as always. Tonight is List Night, ready for my day off tomorrow. Mr M is booked for lunchtime. DH is going to big town, so will be out of my hair.
Flying today has been limited to a load of towels through the wm, creating dinner from fridge contents (smoked mackerel and mushroom kedgeree - was ok), leaving DH to WULTD. I am going to do my very small amount of ironing now, to get the moral high ground over DH who has Mount Ironmore building up.
Squishy hugs to Round, for today and in advance of tomorrow x9 -
All PO jobs done. Presents dropped off at P&S's. Text received from DSil - I'm dropping off presents there on my way home from work on Wednesday....which means I can wrap them / write the cards tomorrow night. Had a shower, washed my hair, all dirty clothes in the laundry hamper, now in my nightie watching NCIS.

I'm so sorry your mum has those conditions but pleased she has had a diagnosis so that you can now think about planning a way forward. Hugs to you both.

CofG DS lives in a flat where the roof has been leaking for months. The landlord isn't interested and the letting agents are useless. Him and his mate pay £1000 a month for this dump and are frightened of making a fuss in case they get kicked out.
Long 9.5 hours at the paid stuff. Appraisal went well but they do tell you what you want to hear don't they. Maybe that's being negative. I can't see my workload reducing much though.
I only have tomorrow at the paid stuff then a few much needed days off when I can gently catch up with the flying and get some rest.
