And the man who is coming to service the boiler between 12 and 5 this afternoon knocked on the door at 9.45am 🤣 Didn't catch me in my nightie this time though 😉
The recycling is out and I'm halfway through DUPA the pots.
P&S aren't coming for coffee as P is back at the doctor's this morning. I need to fit in a present drop on or before Wednesday.
All go innit?

Good morning everyone, today will be a bit of light hoovering the the living room and that's it. Kitchen needs a tidy up so I will focus on that as there is a sink full of dishes and various clutter on the worktops - I'll clear all that before I start making dinner once home from work.11

Well. That was the quickest and quietest boiler service ever. Not one clang or bang! I don't think he even took the front off. Oh well, all legal for another year.
I finished DUPA, and I'm having a coffee and breakfast.
Raining steadily here, so towel wash has been postponed 🙄
Usual pre-Christmas overwhelm kicking in. Sprinkled with 'don't like having workmen in the house'. Seasoned with 'anticipating an unholy nightmare at work starting on Wednesday'. 🤯 STOPPIT!
Right. Amalgamated List of Everything to be started. piggers if you hear a bang tis my head exploding. 😉

Hi all, I have scrubbed bath and sink, done washing and dishes. Need to crack on with more washing and have some food.
Unfortunately, I don't think I will be able to take part in the Christmas card swap, but would love to know more about the secret Santa idea xx12 -
Round .. love and hugs for the anniversary
and calming vibes for the repair man being in the house.. keep focused on the warm... glad you had your clothes on! I wouldn't want to be getting dressed in the house with a strnge person in it.. and boo-hiss to work.. I highly recommend growling at people.. it really works..
MtM.. I was up at 7:50am... guess who forgot totun off the school alarm?! I was also up at 2:30 and 4:30.. My face is itchy (I think it might be something in the chinese we had on saturday) and my chest is really wheezy today too so an allergic reaction is likely.
Thrifty.. lovely to see you back too.. I have sorely missed all my long term fly-friendsIt is wonderful to see a few returning
*throws out treats for the BD* .. I hope your pain meds work better than mine!
Pixie snotting again and Twinkle is at it too.. I kept her off school for 2 days to avoid germs and she has some anyway.. she isn't unwell just snotting.. for now.. I hate this time of year for germs.. it's just grotty. We've had the police round again asking for a couple of unknown people who claimed they live here.. that is not unusual.. we have had it about 4 times in the last year, 3 have been Romanian and 1 Polish.. the police are going to start thinking I am providing my address on the criminal underground as a 'safe address' to give.. I have everyone here on the electoral roll so there is no confusion. They asked how long we have lived here in case he was a previous occupant.. 2005.. he was likely a child living with his parents when I moved here lol. I think the police need to put my address in so when someone gives it it is flagged as mine and they can challenge them about it. They are likely to do with the drug dealers across the road.
Anyway, we have been to L1dl for Twinkle lactose free milk.. grabbed a few other bits.. nothing really jumped out though they have loads of cute wooden toys.
OH off up to work.
I have a parcel to wrap and will get a few more bits listed because I keep buying things the smallls need.. they do insist on growing!!
I need to message DS2 to grab some bits from shop while he is out ~ done..
New ferrules ordereed for Squeaks walking stick.
I guess I should feed the smalls and load the DW then crack on with listing this box of stuff.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)9 -
Morning all We've had sunshine since about 8.00 but the rain started a couple of minutes ago and then stopped again. No rainbows to be seen, though.
So far I have
- moaned at DH for not getting up to prepare breakfast until 9.45, when I had been awake since 4.30. I need breakfast at 8.00!
- checked finances
- voted for the NT AGM
- emptied the bins
- loaded and started the DW
- S&S'd the kitchen
- rung the Bishop's office (!) and the optician's
- done various bits of admin which have taken me far longer than they should
- drunk more coffee
- sent Rosie off for her promenade with L the dog walker.
Still to do:
- pay L
- write 3 cards to DH's cousins
- make soup for lunch
- go to PO
- go to optician's for new nose pads on my specs
- go to Action Heart
and other odd bits and pieces here and there.
Here for TSL and anyone else interested is how I organise the Flylady Secret Santa. Skip this bit if you have already signed up!When you PM me your name and address (it's a SECRET so don't post them on this thread!), I will add you to my list. I need this information by midnight on Saturday 11th November, please. I will then ask my elf, aka DH, to sort out who each participant should send a small gift to.
I will send you the recipient's details on or as soon as possible after 12th November. You're asked to pay special attention to any warnings about allergies or dietary intolerances - it could be another family member who has the allergy, eg to peanuts, in which case no nuts are allowed anywhere in the house. We don't want anybody to be ill! There is no set maximum/minimum spend, but most people seem happy to spend around £5. You decide what you can afford. I suggest you keep your gift small and light to minimise postage costs. You can also usually get clues about the recipient's interests from their posts.
Please remember to write "Flylady Secret Santa" on the outer packaging. Don't give the game away by writing your own name and/or address anywhere on/in the package. Have you got a relative or friend who lives elsewhere and doesn't mind their address being used for returns in case the parcel can't be delivered for some reason?
Please tell me immediately (1) when you have posted the package to your recipient - do this in good time, well ahead of the latest recommended dates; (2) when you have received your own package from your Secret Santa, so that I can let him/her know that it has arrived safely; and (3) if you have to pull out for any reason, so that I can make sure that your recipient is not disappointed - it only becomes a problem if you forget to inform me!
Hope that makes sense!
Will catch up later... xxx

Not exactly a list but ....
I have set up a weekly planner for this week so I'm sort of organised for now and
I have pulled together birthday cards from various stashes and put in date order covering 7th Nov to 17th Feb...and noted what birthday presents are already bought.
I'm going over to P&S's this afti to drop off cards, presents (including from Pops) plus the book P lent me which I've now read.
On the way there I'll call at the PO and pay rent, pay CT, and withdraw cash ready to pay the hairdresser (appointment after work on Friday) and the window cleaner (when he next comes). Oo, I'll take out an extra tenner to put in my youngest godson's birthday card (to drop off on 25th Nov)
Need to text DSil to ask which is best evening to drop off birthday cards and presents for my niece and great niece...both born on Nov 7th. I'll do that next.
An illusion of being organised but it's a start.
Rxx
