Day 3 in November -
Exercise/Well-Being- Started the day trying to get an appointment for the cardiologist - ten calls later it still has not happened. The doctor's office has sent two FAXs and the medical company has sent one. None apparently have shown up in the "right" office. Monday, I will call again to see if one of the FAXs has come through. If not I will walk the referral in - it is in the same building as my doctor's office. It could have walked there faster.
Recovering from our Covid and RSV shots. Not sure about my roommate though - she may have been having small strokes. Today she seemed to lose it while we were at the library. Got her started on aspirin. She has a doctor's appointment on Tuesday - if we can wait that long.
Spending: Then paid a number of bills. Not sure though how the bank problem will affect it though. They tell me the money is there and I can use it. But nothing is coming through because of a national or international delay in the banking system. Keeping my fingers cross that I really don't have to worry about it. Should know about it tomorrow. Will pay remaining bills on the 15th.
Then we went and did some of our grocery shopping for the month. Also got more bones for the dog.
Plan: made out the schedule for the next 8 days. At least I'll know when to make doctor's appointments. Realized the Health Fair for tomorrow wasn't on our family calendar (which has the major things on it- like where we have to be at any given time).
Kindness: This afternoon we went to the library and worked for the Friends for a couple of hours. However, found a couple more books for relatives for Christmas. So another spend there (but only $1).
Remove: Did take a number of books to the library ourselves. Started a bag of food to take to the neighbors tomorrow.
Hope everyone has a good weekend.

Afternoon turtles
Spent yesterday ploughing through our washing pile from holiday and doing a few other chores. Got a bit of batch cooking done but still felt unwell so took it easy. Fell asleep on the sofa at about 7, woke up, jumped in the bath and then went to bed.
Awake again at 3am this morning, still unwell but feeling better as the day has gone on. Did a bit more batch cooking, hoovered, then took our holiday suitcases back to my sister's (that counts as decluttering right?!). Bought an energy drink to try and get through to a reasonable time tonight before falling asleep. Need to beat this jetlag at some point soon. Also popped to my local aquatic shop and bought some small rocks for £1.37, am sure they undercharged me but won't complain! And most importantly I bought some new windscreen wipers as mine are falling apart.

Today will be NSD2, spent most of the morning food prepping and cooking for the weekend, and for next week's lunches
It is cold without rooftiles. No roofers came today (anyone surprised? No? Then why did I get up at 7 'just-in-case???' ) but looking at the weather forecast it should be dry Mon/Tue/Wed so they can get on with that and be finished by Friday which is when Mr Builder wants to start. So all going exactly to planIn less than a week I should be watertight and snowproof, and that will be a jolly nice feeling, coming into the winter and all. So I am under a blanket with 2 hot waterbottles, and a vat of optimism.
So far I have seen S&M's christmas advert - Chip that elf! , and Lidl's - Why the raccoon??? and have avoided any festive films. Also not eaten a mice pie but did find non-dairy brandy cream, with a long bb date, so that is in the fridge looking at me. I still have 2 bottles of mulled wine from last year in the pantry.
Decided to Sparkle next month as well, so accepted the f/b volunteer Christmas Party invite. Now I have two diary dates in December. #
I stupidly thought that as 5th November was a Sunday, the Tennis club up the road that does a really good display would be on tomorrow, but apparently it was on Friday, so I have missed it. Tomorrow will therefore be NSD 34/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

NSD No 3
Hope your room mate is improving, Weenancy, That sounds really scary.- Health and Wellbeing - Haven't really done much about this today as I've been busy with other things. Hope to have a bit of a pamper day tomorrow to make up for it.
- Household - Well, I've been busy today. Defrosted small freezer and tidied both freezers and the fridge. Sorted out the cutlery drawer which was in a right guddle because Himself just throws everything in without a thought of where it should go. Put a new duvet cover on the bed. Bought it recently in a sale. Looking very autumnal. Wrapped some gifts that arrived for Himself and put them in his Christmas bag. Chopped some vegetables and sliced a cake that the lovely cousin made. Now in the freezer for later. I'm sure there's more but I've been taking Grandmanerd's advice and having a little sit down between chores.
- Garden - Nothing today. Might try to do a little tomorrow
- Declutter - With all the cleaning/tidying above I've disposed of masses of things that are not needed. I've identified loads in the cupboard of doom (everyone has one of those, don't they?) but some of them are a bit bulky so there going to have to go gradually over a period of time
- Socialise - Nothing today but that will be rectified next week.
Window cleaner came at an obscenely early hour this morning but al least we can see through them now
Have a good evening. xxxx
Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.11 -

- storybook

Exercise and Well-Being - Went to a Health Fair this morning - ended up with two bags of vegetables and fruits as someone we had met while waiting at the beginning gave us the bag she had received also. Talked to a dentist about my roommate's teeth - she has implants but her trust ran out of money before she got the crowns. The dentist there may be able to give her dentures that go over the top of them (using her insurance - so they would be free). Tuesday she will be seeing a doctor about the possible strokes, plus several other problems. I am making a list. They said I can come with her. We now have more than enough test kits for Covid and hand sanitizer to last a long time - will share with the neighbors.
Spending - Was a spend day as I finished up the grocery shopping I couldn't do yesterday. Don't need to shop again this week. Also got a kitchen mat to see if it will be acceptable to the dog to lie down on.
Remove - Cleared over 4000 emails from roommate's account (with her permission). Still have 6 years to go. Found the batteries for clocks and smoke detectors and got rid of the bad batteries. Roommate hadn't used clock in a couple of years, and the batteries had really died in there. Had to clean the acid corrosion out carefully first. We change our clocks tonight.
Kindness - Besides helping roommate with emails (aargh!), I spent two hours working at the Public Library sorting books for the Book Sale. It was somewhat peaceful there as I was the only one from from our Friends' group who was there.
Am very concerned as just found out my best friend has Covid. She lives in Colorado under fairly primitive conditions as she has been building her own house a little at a time - and it isn't finished (She is 77 years old). Last year she had Shingles - and is barely over the symptoms of that. She has two Great Pyrenees dogs, several horses and goats, and about 20 cats (part of a feral cat colony she inherited from someone else). About 8 of the cats are tame enough to come in now. She has no family members nearby. One neighbor helped her get the wood where she needed it as she uses a wood stove. It is over 900 miles away - or I would pop over and see if I could help out.
Sparkle - In addition to the fruits and vegetables we got this morning, we also got a free ice cream sandwich (as well as those Covid test kits and several large containers of hand sanitizer).12
