Another two of my favourite places, Beanie. Usually walk from the new town to the Botanics, round Innerleith Park, around the pond and back up to the city centre. Don't think I'll manage that this time but I do have my trusty travel pass so could take the bus there and back. Love the cafe and the gift shop. xxx

Sorry I've been absent but thank you for this post and the motivational ideas from all of you.
Will try for 15 NSD but as I've only scored 1 in the first 6 days I might struggle! I need to bunch my shopping for every few days rather than bits and bobs every day.
My friend rang yesterday afternoon to see if I could cat-sit as they're shift had changed to a late one and the cat is terrified of fireworks. I went over and 4 rockets exploded as I arrived. The poor cat came slinking out from behind the bed looking petrified. Turned the tv up, put the heated cat bed on and we both tried to settle down. Really brought it home to me how scared animals are at this time of year.
Aiming for 60 items decluttered this month. Spent most of Saturday tidying the garage. At least it's a start. 1 box of stuff each for tip, recycling and charity.
Our friend has arranged a Christmas meal out for 6 of us but left out the 7th as she didn't want to invite her. Really awkward as the 7th lady has now asked my mum when we're going so she can get ready. Mum and I don't want to go if she's left out as it's so cruel. Trying to sort it out today.
Sun is lovely here today for a change.
Happy Monday everyone! Hope you all have a good week. X

I'm nowhere near the grandmanerd status of quotes, but here's a few.It doesn't matter what's been written in your story so far, it's how you fill up the rest of the pages that counts. When all else fails, sprinkle glitter on it.We are all of us stars and we deserve to twinkle.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!10

Sunday was a no-spend day. Today is meant to be but I am taking my roommate G grocery shopping later. He may pay for it though as he owes some.
Today I get to spend a few hours "relaxing" sorting books at the Library for the book sale, followed by roommates yelling and screaming at the TV as they watch the American Football game. The roommate sitting in the room with me (they all watch it in separate rooms) is the loudest of the bunch. I will be trying to do some family history at the same time.
Gratitudes:
1. Being able to go grocery shopping and not having to worry about shortages.
2. The banking fiasco here apparently being fixed. Our three biggest banks had direct deposits on hold for a long time (a day) because of a human error - Do I believe them? No!
3. Having my referrals to the doctors come through. Now to actually get the appointments straightened out.
4. Not having all of the roommates watching a game in the same room and yelling at the same time at the umpires.
5. Having enough food available to feed the two indoor cats, the dog, and the outdoor cats (3?).

Well today was not a NSD it was a Spend £3 Day. £3 in Herr Leedl. £3 in Mr Tessico, and £3 in Herr Ron, it could have been so much worse, but now the fridge is full of lovely mediterranean veg, and the breadbin is full of bagels and wraps and sliced brown bread. Onions and Spuds nestled in the pantry. I can leave tomorrow, for my single solo day of paid work in November, knowing they will not starve.
The laundry is done. I am not cleaning anything tonight. I plan on going on a cleaning blitz when I come home.
I currently do not have a single tile on my roof, but I am membrane'd and battened, and I might come home on Wednesday night to a shiny new roof (but it will be dark, so it will be Schroedinger's Roof until it is light) or not.
I still do not have my tree up. Just saying.

Evening turtles
Back to work today but worked from home. Woke up really early for some reason, decided to go for a walk then did some yoga.
Went through all my emails, wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Just had an admin day with a couple of meetings.
Decluttered some old clothes, shoes and towels.12 -
