Cashed out £25 of points on the stamp app, for Mr T's emporium of foods, bought 24 litres of soya milk, 3 litres of oil, sweetcorn, pickled cauliflower and 6 bags of pasta tubes and 8 packs of spaghetti. Was 52p short after the clobcard reduction so threw in a pack of airwaves gum and the whole thing cost me 14p. So, is airwaves menthol gum a medical expense? You only use it when you have a cold..... umpires decision please as to whether today is a NSD.

NSD No 2
Ten out of ten for effort, f0xh0les. I vote you get to keep your NSD.
Nice surprise today. Both Himself and I are getting a winter fuel payment of £250.00. That will certainly be very welcome.- Health and Wellbeing - Breakfast and lunch the same as yesterday. Yoghurt is an attempt to increase my calcium levels and avert the need to take some very nasty medicine. Dinner is pasties. Not too healthy, I know, but we're not having chips or anything like that with them and it is making space in the freezer.
- Household - Cleaned the oven. Now that is a job I really hate!
- Garden - Rain still pouring down so no progress really but I was awakened by next door's cat having a right go at a magpie. Maybe those cat treats are paying off.
- Declutter - Big bag of unwanted, unusable items in the bin without Himself's knowledge. Bag for charity shop ready for delivery. There is so much to go one way or another 600 items is not out of the question. For a start there are about 100 pens upstairs (most of which have probably dried up).
- Socialise -Same as yesterday. Hopefully the weather will improve at the weekend.
Next door neighbour gave birth to a gorgeous little girl in the early hours of this morning. It doesn't seem like 24 years since she was a baby herself. So delighted for the family. Her father has been seriously ill for the past year (improving now, thank goodness) so it is just the best, best news. Don't know that I'm going to beat this for sparklieness for the rest of the month.
Hope everyone in the path of the storm is keeping safe. xxxxHave adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.15 -
Then I got home to an envelope with £6 more vouchers for Mr T's......4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Evening everyone 🌪️☔️
Arrived safely down south and enjoying listening to Storm Ciaran on my window lol. Not done any exploring but weather looks to clear tomorrow.Resisted buying anything from service stations and packed food for today. Did have a coffee in a little coffee place I like though as was early for my check in.Likely next few days will be spend days as will have to buy lunch/dinner as only a b&b. I’ll make it up later in the month! Promise 😏
Today I am grateful for:
1) A safe trip down and the weather holding out until I arrived haha
2) Friendly faces and old acquaintances
3) The cute b&b

f0xh0les, after all that effort, you can indeed keep your NSD!Today I am very very grateful for the car key replacement maker chappie so we actually have a working key plus a spare as opposed to one cobbled together with electrical tape and going rather floppy (!!!), for chatting with some gym people, for liddle still having the rocket fireworks that dh wanted, for not getting too wet while out and about, for dc having a successful dentist check up, for fairy lights.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!12

Well then I am reporting in with NSD #1Diet supper of cauliflower cheese and broccoli (no pasta) for me, and mega pasta broccoli smoked cheese mountains for everyone else. My weight is going down, that is the main thing.Busy old day down the foodbank, made a difference to a couple of people. Helped everyone I could, and I was kind.Saw two men getting out of a transit van outside my house at 8am, took out a wheelbarrow, gazed lovingly at my magnificent scaffolding tower, and then they walked off down the road to where they were working. I got quite hopeful for ten minutes, then laughed my head off.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Four bags went to the bins (one is still in the backs because DS3 has not brought the bin back yet.). I have brought some toilet rolls upstairs (box fell back onto me at one point). Meals were a bit of a jumble but it all needs using up (toast and pumpkin cookies featured heavily). Approximately 255 vinyl LPs have gone off for auction (auction is a way off but they all need listing and photographing). All the classical ones next.
Grateful for things leaving the house (will count as 4 boxes to be fair). Rest and relaxation (finished a series off - took a break from it yesterday as it's based on an actual event and is quite hard going in places). Just finished watching a musical (not my thing at all but it was based on Beatles songs ).12 -
Evening all, NSD#2 done & dusted!
Did another Jo Wix workout this morning, wrapped the quilled picture up for my friend's birthday (which I forgot to take a photo of before sealing up!), then rushed to eat breakfast & get dressed.
A good day at work, met DS3 after his secondary school is just up the road from the primary where I work. He was hungry & I had acquired £5.86 somehow on my C00p card (has spent the £2ish I had on it before our village shop changed to arseda), no idea where these extra funds came from as haven't bought a huge amount since 😂. Anyway, he chose a sausage roll, I got a sproutmas pudding & box of chocolate orange matchstix & still have 20p left over for another day.
Went to parents evening, all ok, then drove to.drop the birthday present off, with instructions to take a photo for me, once it's been opened. It was her DD2's birthday yesterday, so we got a piece of cake each 😋
After tea, I sewed the felt robins together, spoke on the phone to my brother, then hand stitched heart shaped buttons on to the wings.
@ditty1234 I have used a variety of makes if machines, including Toyota, Singer & L1DL own brand. All have coped fine with denim, may just need to use a stronger needle (eg 90 or 100). A handy tip when sewing hems, there's always that extra thick bit where the side seams are - using the handle of your scissors, bash it a few times (like using a hammer) & it breaks the fibres if the fabric down a bit, so makes it flatter & easier to go through your machine 😃
Grateful for a song from my late teens playing on the radio on my way to work, free food, a good parents eveningUse it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!
