Good morning! Happy November!
I'm on the bus and can report that I have already made a dent into the month of sparkle.
Budget: done! We have two weekends at a caravan park for music, booked since last year and the year before so quite busy. All we need to do is get there, relax, enjoy... I'm taking my cash back voucher to weekend 1 which should cover beers in the caravan and we're planning to eat easy meals like instant porridge and pizza. I'm also taking a book for quiet times - a free one I have to review.
Declutter: I took a parcel of 10 clothes items to Asda and I already got my 10% voucher. In the parcel was one of the pairs of jeans I split, and they'll be replaced using the voucher in due course.
Another 15 items already boxed up for after the weekend.
I've been using the Tesco recipe finder to help me make meals out of what I have and plan properly. I do need to buy tomatoes today as I'm planning a kind of arancini (leftover rice, mozzarella in the middle)and pork meatballs accompaniment to linguini in tomato and basil sauce. With salad, if that didn't sound like enough! 😂
Noom (work pays for it), all done for the day barring any changes. Getting some encouragement from my coach. A lot of food triggers being set off by emotional/financial factors.
Power is back on in the kitchen of my crumbling house, but our electrician pal says forget the other renovations for now, rewire first. Oh crikey.
Redundancy rumours happening at my place too, now. Apparently the VP is sharpening her axe...😱Keep reading books!
July grocery challenge START: £150.

Rumours are only rumours, don't borrow trouble, but do be prepared. Sorry about the rewire, but it is not an every day expense, it is a once in 20 years expense. You just have to pay for it in one big lump. You are very lucky to have an electrician pal, at least you won't have to worry about getting robbed blind, and shonky workers sloping off at every possibility (I am still disgusted by our team of 'electricians' 6 years later)

Well the money came in, and the bills went out, and then I spent £100 on train tickets to Cottonopolis for the Markets of C-word in December. Bought a F&F railcard last week with my p/academic earnings (and 10% off with YHA member partnership rewards) It still works out at less than £10 each way for 6 of us, and I will let DH pay for lunch while we are there. Will get lots of steps in. It is my only December festive date so far.LE does not have a C-market -well, it has 4 people in a shed selling kids book club books like in primary school. Like I said LE does not have a C-market per se, but it is nice to wander round and look at twinkly lights and eat gelato in the cold. But that is not this Sparkly November month!! First we have Bonfire Night, which actually seems like a jolly good idea with this shower in power.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

f0xh0les, it's November you're allowed to say the 'C' word without consequences

What all the C words? I would not recommend that.

Hello,
Looking forward to a month of sparkle.
Off to a good start made myself drink a glass of water this morning as soon as I got up and today has been a NSD as I left my purse at home when I went out for a work visit.

What do you want from November?Have a ponder. Then plot and plan it.One of my plans is to either do a workout or 100 belly down Burpees each day. So far, so good 🤣🤣🤣. Also, to get back to reading through the Tightwad Gazette, as I've still not finished it.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!11
