NST: November 2023 – Sparkle

My plan for November is quite simple. Make every day a little better than the one before in as many aspects of my life as possible..
- Health and Wellbeing - I'll let the doctors take care of the health but help them along by eating properly, trying to get some exercise and trying to stop stressing about things I can't change. Look after my skin, etc and start wearing my nice clothes instead of slouching along all day in my PJs feeling sorry for myself.
- Household - Let's get on top of this cleaning malarkey. It can't be that hard, can it? Get into a routine and do a bit extra every day and voila. Well, that's the theory. And if I have to spend a little to make things easier so be it.
- Garden - Well, small verandah actually. Magpies have totally destroyed it, After all the work I put in during the summer. Not to mention my neighbour looking after it whilst I was on holiday. So back to square one.
- Declutter - I could do with getting shot of 600 things next month too, Idee, but I'll settled for a couple a day.
- Socialise - I'm a bit of a solitary person but I really need to get out and stop vegitating and staring at these four walls. A walk, cup of coffee or drink with Himself would do for a start.
Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.12 -
I'm ready for November. Getting my Covid shot tomorrow (postponed from a month ago because I got Covid!). Looking forward to sorting out the present boxes to make sure I have something for everyone. Probably won't have a Thanksgiving Dinner this month, as my two sisters and the one nephew and family are camping in their trailers this holiday. Might be able to take the bus down to where they are for a day, but I would have to check the holiday schedule. Our buses aren't very good at the best of times. I really appreciated the bus system in Britain as that is how I was getting around most of the time (or by train). I often have wait an hour for a connecting bus here so we don't use it often. Took Roommate G 3 hours to get home on the bus from a doctor's appointment that takes less than 30 minutes by car. That is why most Californians drive everywhere.
Have my calendar ready and have been planning my spend days. First spend day should be 3 November as most bills get paid that day and I do most of the shopping for the month on the third of each month.
Wishing everyone safe days ahead with the rain and the potential wind.

Hello, could I please join you for November? I am especially liking the idea of getting rid of 60 items!
I am off work this week and will be tweaking my budgets. November pay-day will be short this month as I am on parental leave (which is unpaid) so I need to account for that. I am hoping we get the back pay from this year's pay rise in the bank before Christmas. That would be very welcome (and will cover the shortfall in my October/November pay packets).
I am having some skin cancer removed from my face later this month (BCC so not the spreading kind) so I want to make sure I am practicing self-care. I will be aiming to drink more water and eat more greens. Hopefully, this thread will help me keep on track.'Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass, it's about learning to dance in the rain'12 -

Just had to send my roommate out for more candy before the munchkins arrive. She ate four bags of it already. Plus a couple of bags of candy corn.
4:00pm and still 28C here. Dog came in this morning and wrecked havoc. Still cleaning up. So will be able to get rid of more than two items a day as I clean it up. Stopped first for a two hour nap.
Looking forward to November. Take care in the rain and wind.11 -

You know that walking thing I wanted to do every day, to get my steps up and get some fresh air …? Does doing it at 4am, in the rain, with a torch, looking for whatever is making a horrendously loud DRIP!! noise on the other side of the wall to my head, in nightdress and gumboots count ….?? 🤔 Oh, it doesn’t because I am meant to get daylight as well ….? Bah. Might as well head off to work and pretend to ‘adult’ for a few hours then …. 🤷♀️😉
It was an aluminium step ladder right under the eaves, in case anyone was wondering…. Mr KK will be growled / wailed at later. 😉
