The sun total of 55p potted!  I haven’t found any roadkill for ages and I thought with daily dog walks again I might see some but alas no 😕. Sadly all I see is bills still going up, especially food.  The allotment is still far off producing and the weather isn’t helping.  I’ve only managed to get one row of first early potatoes in and that was only 2 days ago.  Seedlings at home are struggling too with variables in the weather.  At the least the sun is shining here this morning (North Yorkshire) 🌞

Good Morning, folks, not too bad a week, though some quite chilly, especially yesterday.
To all SPC members who are poorly in anyway or feeling low, get well soon. Best wishes from us all here at SPC! 3

Many thanks LMD, I'm fine now.
Excellent potting, but don't ever worry about not being able to come to the thread.

I think you're right Ant, T heard so from our neighbour, I'm fine now though, thanks.
    Great potting!!

I'm fine now thanks Siju, but obviously others were a lot like me or worse, poor folk.
I'm pleased you were able to do some gardening, we've certainly had a few lovely days... and cold ones! 😯 Great potting!!

Hi Hetty, sorry to hear you're struggling with roadkill, though I think days of cash being spent let alone found are fast petering out with many folk opting for cards and  many shops not dealing with it anymore. Sadly, another loss due to Covid. 😡
    Well done with your potting.
Good luck with the allotment...the weather too!

£10 transferred from the account to the SPC account.

Have a wonderful weekend whatever you do.

    Sue

The end date for SPC is on the 24th October 2024..........but no later, please!

That’s a really good point about the lack of roadkill Sue. I’m not seeing much roadkill either but of course a lot less people are using cash now. I’m sure people out with collecting tins on High Streets must be seeing a big difference too.

Sounds like an amazing experience @rancid-a, great photo too 😀 Getting your will sorted is so important, we used a company who arranged the whole thing over the phone (this was about 20 years ago!) They weren't cheap but they did give us free updates for life which has been very helpful as circumstances have changed in those 20 years. However my Dad's will was just a pack he picked up from WH Smith's as his wishes were very simple and this worked fine when it went to probate.
Another fiver and some change in my pot. Have a lovely week folks 😊

Good Morning, folks, a quite chilly week, but a beautiful day yesterday.
To all SPC members who are poorly in anyway or feeling low, get well soon. Best wishes from us all here at SPC! 3

Anyone any idea where those weird stripes came from on my post above?!! I was quite shocked on seeing them!

Hi Ant, sadly, I'm sure the reasons just about sum it up, and if you're not finding any...! 😯 I hadn't thought about it, but as you say those collecting on high streets must have noticed it far more than any of us!
Quite sad that such differences have come about.

Crikey James, what with the photo covered in dye, and the words "FIRETRAP - dark and deadly London" on the T-shirt it took a few seconds for it all to register! 👀 🫣 Why not put your face above on your profile pic.
Little wonder the Ganges isn't the cleanest of rivers with the Indians cleaning themselves in it!!

I'm so very pleased you had a wonderful time, and quite an experience.
Excellent potting including the £2 coin! 😡 Puh! I haven't seen one of those for ages Chuffed to bits for you, seriously.

If you want to pay a very reasonable price for a will, you're bound to find people on those threads saying about them being extremely reasonable. Twice a year Martin tells folk that in October and around April (I think) they can have their wills made, usually by charities.

    Take care James x

It sounds as though your Dad's will was pretty straight forward Siju, very reasonable too.
Ours was done way back, and sounds a lot like yours.
A great £5 potted and have a lovely weekend.

I don't know about a once in a lifetime holiday Ant!! James certainly was left with a once in a lifetime face!!
    Brilliant potting again!!

£10 transferred from our account to our SPC account.     Depending on how many folk come between now and tomorrow.....

Have a wonderful weekend whatever you do.

I saw the stripes but they’re gone now.  Apologies for not posting for 6 months 😬 Life has intervened but thankfully nothing too drastic and manageable.  Potting wise not going terrifically well as been focussing on paying down the mortgage (I could add that at the end)

For the next 6 months we’re going down to one wage for a while so might not be able to pot too much and cash is rarely used anymore, am I the only one that likes to use cash?

    Have a wonderful weekend 😊

Am I too late to join the party? I've been saving my silvers and coppers in my terrarium for a little while and did a count up last week and have just over £60. I'm aiming for £400 to lessen the Christmas burden! I've popped my coins into a sealed tin, so I don't raid it every time the window cleaner visits  :D
