My hsbc mortgage statement suddenly was no longer hole punched and printed ever so slightly differently. I also received the Lloyds letter. Maybe there is an issue with a major printer the banks use?0

The company that prints bank & credit card statements is in administration & might go bust! So that’s why statements look different!Hopefully when sorted statements will be hole punched etc
will see what happens0 -

I beg to differ, particularly on 'rates'; my fiancée and I are paid £30/month + Disney+ Premium (for another year anyway) + 2 subscriptions to magazines which she would otherwise purchase. I'd conservatively value that at £450/year, which is far more than any other banking group would give us - even the ones which we hold 'Premier' tier accounts for. Their 6.25%/£400 Monthly Saver is also decent if no longer market leading.pridehappy said:I’m aware I’ve mentioned this many times before - but I’m honestly not surprised at all for Lloyds Banking Group. Excuse after excuse after excuse, after 80 years collectively as a family all we’ve had is extremely poor service and staff who clearly lack any sort of training and don’t know any basic banking skills (seriously, a staff member in my local branch asked me to explain what an ISA was and the benefits) when I asked a question about a transfer. It’s their own fault if they start loosing customers. Poor service, poor rates, poor experience.
I regard their apps as among the best from the legacy/high street banks. It's not a perfect experience by any means but it is fairly comprehensive. They have some very useful quirks too, for example not hard checking existing customers for (some) new credit products.
I've always been happy with the outcome when I've needed customer service (one small exception being an issue I had getting Disney+, but I think I was dealing with the third party rewards provider at that point, as soon as I escalated the issue to LBG complaints it was almost immediately dealt with to my satisfaction).
All my customer service interactions - during branch appointments, over the phone etc etc have been recorded. I presume your experience also was, and that you flagged the issue up to LBG, right?4 -
I have got Lloyds to keep me on paper statements yay 🥳 but hopefully this issue won’t last long

I have an "Executor Account" with Lloyds and it cannot be registered for online banking (I have contacted them about that). It is therefore essential to receive postal paper statements. No other option to check debits, credits, balance etc..0

Some institutions won't accept bank statements printed at home for identification purposes, or for other legal purposes. My solicitor insists on having original copies i.e. sent out by the bank.0

The other requirement generally relates more to generic proof of address, i.e. where other posted documentation is an acceptable substitute when validating ID. Again, it's less convenient, but there is obviously the argument that it's not actually a bank's responsibility to support customers wanting to provide proof of address to other institutions....2 -
My wife and I have been with Lloyds for 50+ years. We have 8 separate accounts in total, but have only opted for paper statements on 3 of them. Upon checking our online accounts today I noticed that the statement options boxes on all accounts had been ticked in favour of paperless. If and when paper statements option resumes what are the chances that we will have them restored automatically? Nil I expect.1
