dealyboy said:Randomly I received a paper statement from Halifax this morning, the only one I've had.
It was for the Everyday Saver for the period 24 March 2023 to 24 October 2023 showing two transactions:
02 Oct 23 £250 in from my current account
02 Oct 23 £250 out to my regular saver
... whoops!
6 pages on 3 sheets of A4.3 -
I’m aware I’ve mentioned this many times before - but I’m honestly not surprised at all for Lloyds Banking Group. Excuse after excuse after excuse, after 80 years collectively as a family all we’ve had is extremely poor service and staff who clearly lack any sort of training and don’t know any basic banking skills (seriously, a staff member in my local branch asked me to explain what an ISA was and the benefits) when I asked a question about a transfer. It’s their own fault if they start loosing customers. Poor service, poor rates, poor experience.0

It sounds like the company that send & print out debit/credit/savings accounts statements & letters is in administration & likely going bust so LBG are looking for a new company to do it for them! Will likely take a few weeks/months to strike a deal & get to sorted! But we can still get statements if we want1

I can’t remember seeing a cheque book without Communisis written on it - but guessing this hasn’t been flagged as a minority of accounts have asked for them to be issued and a minority of those will be due for reissue in the affected period.0

I never had a Lloyds or Halifax Cheque book0

Can’t send statements by post - but can send a copy of the already emailed notification by post.0

Seems odd if they can do that! But that might be printed else where0

As I, too, have received both email and a letter, I am wondering if anyone had any success in getting paper statements back after contact Halifax.
The letter outlines my current account and my credit card account to be moved to paper-free.
When I log in online (via computer), I can see confirmation of the credit card account having been moved (with any tick boxes for paper-free communications now being ticked and greyed out), but the current account has no ticks and can be amended/ticked to go paper-free.
Thanks
