The point ratio is ridiculous - 800 points = £1 :disappointed:
We all prefer to get 100s of points than 3  B)
This is MSE, anything for free is better than nothing 👍
I was more talking about the confusing rate points to pound.
It's just the marketing gimmicky that we all prefer getting 200 points than 25p - otherwise they would do 100 points = £1, to make it simple.

I assume they are doing 8 points to 1p to maintain their branding of all things Octo.

Well did my two spins of the wheel and got £2 of points which is better than the £0 of credit I've got from spinning said wheel the past six months, though I suspect it's not a coincidence this is new.

The octoplus page has a link saying every spin is a winner for the wheel of fortune, I clicked it but spins all done for the month. :)

Email just feels so dated and not very Octopus like
I feel like email is having a weird renaissance now - so many bands etc. I've previously only engaged with on social media seem to have launched mailing lists in the past few months.
Twitter is dying and there isn't an established alternative yet, so email is making a comeback for customer comms.
Personally I'd like big orgs to set up their own Mastodon instances (like the BBC is doing) but it might still be seen as too new.

If the facebook version was made fully functional on web browsers, I imagine that will end up taking over.  But will take a while of course for all companies to move over.

I noticed that too, but they say in the FAQ that smart tariff customers are eligible to participate, so I don't understand what reason they'd have for using that clause.

I saw this this morning and hoped someone had posted about it.

It seems like a no brainer to sign up, what's the downside?

Granted the actual financial upside seems small at this stage, but if I'm already trying to avoid using energy during peak time because I'm on the Agile tariff, it's just a free (small) win?

Yeah but the wheel has "winning" prizes of 8 points (ie. 1 penny) on it...
