Battery gets recharged every night on 🐙Go and it’s usually pretty empty once the next cheap charging sesh rolls round.
Unless you are saying to set the battery to only export during the savings session and just use energy at the higher rate as you would get more money for what you export anyway? This also assumes you've got metered export on one of Octopus's Outgoing tariffs. It wont work if you've got deemed export dut to not having switched over a legacy FIT.DFS - aren't they a carpet company?N. Hampshire, he/him. LOL @QrizB - I found this article explaining how to coin it in during savings sessions. Just not sure if wear and tear on battery is worth it. This sucker has to last another 9 years for my ROI. https://www.thisismoney.co.uk/money/bills/article-12805511/Demand-Flexibility-Service-returns-shave-15-energy-bill-tonight.htmlLancashire

free electricity
No such thing what they mean is they'll not charge you but someone else will pay it for you.No, there really is such a thing as free electricity. There's even electricity where they pay you to use it.You should read the Octopus Agile threads.M25 said:Double speak has always been in banking and it's now rife in the energy sector.N. I do hope this has been a knowledge learning exercise and you pass on your new found knowledge to others rather than incorrect information.0 -

That article made me laugh about the top 5% earning around £40 last year, quite a few (of us) made considerably more than that (£400-£500) so I wonder where that placed us!PV total 19.8 kW system:
23 x 420W East/West split over two flat roof areas at 10 degrees inclination.
13 x 390W South spit over two flat roof areas at 5 to 20 degrees inclination.
6 x 390W south wall mounted at 90 degrees inclination.
7 x 390W West wall mounted at 90 degrees inclination.
2 x 5 kW hybrid inverters
4 x 9.5 kWh batteries (38 kWh total)1 -

in single session which was achieved by 2 x ASHP, EVs, jacuzzi & jumbo jet all on full tilt before the saving sesh. The comments on the article are what got me - much better than the article itself.Lancashire
