Definitely time for pudding after a day like that. I hope it's not too bad and you both get your cars back quickly.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

One car is fixed and back in use the other is sat on the drive as they can’t fit it in till next week. The youngest is ill yet again, this time they have a urine infection. Luckily I had some sachets and in date more importantly to try to deal with it. Seems to be working, hopefully caught it early and they won’t need antibiotics. Finally got through to them the importance of drinking plenty of water, this is a constant issue. They’ve always had to learn the hard way. Had to alter meet up with their email friend from Australia to our house tomorrow, so the youngest has got easy access to the loo. MSE saving as we will have cake instead of a meal.Another sm shop as I had forgotten several items plus needed special birthday cards. Got out money to insert in it. Trip to local haberdashery to pick up thread for my next project. I have some beautiful azure coloured curtains that were in the front room. I’m going to alter them and have them in my room and get rid of the charity shop white ones instead.Right best get up and prepare the next yucky drink for the youngest.Love 🐞

Youngest is off college today. Cystitis is gone but they are shattered with the anxiety it caused and the excitement of seeing email friend yesterday.Frugalness for yesterday
1) Altered curtains that I already had for our room. They were super long, by just using ironing tape on the top and the bottom they should act as insulation for that window.
2) We had cake and coffee at home with friends instead of going out for a meal ( due to youngest not being well)
3) Tea was leftovers
Not so frugal. I’ve bought padded cycling trousers £43.99. I want to get back into cycling but padding is required😝.
Not a lot but every bit helps

A lot of steps today as I walked in and out of town. Proper chuffed but seriously knackered. Cycling trousers have arrived, they are going to take some getting used to🥴.Frugalness for today
1) Not sure whether to count this as I can’t use my car at the moment, but walked in and out of town (just over 5miles) -saved petrol.2) Managed to get knitting needles from cs for £1
3) Got 9 x litre bottles with flip lids for £5 from Cs ( ideal for cider making).4) Free exercise over 16,000 steps - see above plus took miss giddychops out for a walk when I got back.
5) Made soup for lunch and pasta bake for tea. Have leftovers for tomorrow
6) Used natures tumble drier
7) Big river were going to charge me £2.99 for parcel to come today so opted for it to come this Monday coming for free. It arrived today🤣 for free.
8) Unravelled part of a jumper and started my scarf. I suspect I will drop stitches here and there and probably add some too.9) Offered £10 off a £20 shop with A&C ordered a couple of kilos of marmalade oranges, juicing apples (we will just eat these- cheap way to buy apples) , dried chickpeas and some ham ends.10) Water saved from both our showers- to flush the loo.Not so frugal but essential prescriptions for OH and I just under £20.Love 🐞

Definitely count the walking! 👏
Enjoy the knitting - don’t worry about dropped and extra stitches as they won’t be visible when the scarf is worn … DAMHIK … 😉😂😂😊

Thanks KK the knitting is going well.Had a lovely visit from the youngest primary school TA. I got some craft stuff that they will use at the school. It was lovely to catch up with them , although I was only allowed to sit in the last 30 minutes 🤣. They were here about 2 and half hours.Youngest eventually got up and we went to the gym. Bought them a weekly tablet box as they keep forgetting to take their medication or can’t remember if they’ve took it. Maintains their independence.Frugalness for today
1) Youngest has a bus pass, so I walked to and from the gym as my exercise plus walked miss giddychops (19235 steps today). Also did a short bike ride to try out my new cycling trousers.
2) lunch and tea were leftovers
3) mobility bar is up ( recycled wood and brackets) in the youngest room.4) found out of date shortbread biscuits at the back of the cupboard for OH after work snacklet
Grateful
1. I have legs that work
2. That our local pharmacy stocked lactulose (youngest)
3. OH sorting the garage out so I could get to my bike.
very tired now.
