We have snow but it is morphing into slush as we speak. Had a slow start to the day. Used some hg blackberries to have with gf pancakes and Greek yoghurt. Tc from mil 111 dr wants to see her due to her burning her arm a couple of days ago. When I saw her yesterday it looked infected, so told her to ring 111.OH has sped off to take her.
I was hoping that we would get chance to sit down and talk about finances, ef, 🐞PP, budgeting and holidays, but not meant to be. So will start decluttering instead.

Decluttered for about an hour resulted in 2 small ornaments and 6 books added to charity shop pile. Found a load of felt squares, ribbon etc in my sewing bag. Contracted the youngest old TA who will come pick them up for the craft box at school. They will pop in for a cuppa and a catch up too. Found a couple of things I might be able to sell also, so put them to one side.
    Time to relax

It’s not infected just very badly burnt apparently KK. They have given her a prescription for antibiotics to take if it does. So 🤞she won’t need to take them.

Off to the pharmacy with fil to get prescription as he feels the redness on mil arm has spread. Mum unable to get over due to weather. OH working from home this morning, so had a leisurely breakfast together 💜. Paths still covered in snow ,so youngest not in college even though it’s open.
Best find my yaktraks and get miss giddychops out and meet fil

Spent best part of today looking at the budget. So far transferred to the youngest their phone (£10) bill and the tvlicense (£15) to their bank account. Internet reduced by £2 per month with new deal and reduced my phone contract also £2 per month. A saving of £29.00 per month. Did look at boiler care but would only save 40p per month, so have left it with the same company.
Had a ridiculous offer on dad’s house, which we’ve rejected.
Spent £2 at the co-op as needed veggies for tea. Unable to get to usual sm due to snow.
Miss giddychops loved her walk in the snow and enjoyed making snow dog angels.

Managed to get some extra steps in as we went for a walk after tea. Very icy🥶 out, but had yaktraks on so wasn’t worried about slipping.
Tea was leftovers from last night with added veggies.
I need to borrow some knitting needles from mum as I don’t have a scarf. Going to unravel a lovely red jumper that is several sizes too big for me, instead of buying some wool 🧶and knit it myself 🤣.
Don’t think the youngest will be going into college again tomorrow as the paths aren’t passable in their wheelchair and OH is taking my car as it has winter tyres on.
Meal plan done, trying to use stuff we have in the house, although if you saw my shopping list you wouldn’t think so. Must remember I’ve already spent £2 of this week’s food budget.
Right time for some reading before bed

Very crunchy under foot still. Took miss giddychops over the field to drop off some books at the book swap. She throughly enjoyed running around in it. She had dog stew too, so a good day all round for her.
Managed to get the top of the house cleaned except the room of doom. Gathered together everything I’ve taken from dads, cleaned them up and they are now ready to go to the charity shop. We’ve decided to keep the hand blender and iron as back ups for when ours go kerput. Had the window open and door shut in each room I did to freshen up the air. Bedding changed looking forward to climbing into bliss later. Put a load on and have another ready to go as it’s supposed to be sunny tomorrow. It’s mainly bedding as it should dry easily with it being thin fabric .
Still not managed to get to the sm , tea was thrown together from stuff out the freezer and cupboards.
We have 2 more viewers for dad’s house this next week 🤞. We still have stuff that needs shifting from the house. I think that might have to wait till February as I can’t face anymore at the moment.
Decluttered a load of old paperwork (recycled it).
Time to immerse myself in my book

You achieved heaps of stuff today! Knowing that those rooms are clean and aired must be a nice feeling.

Can you schedule in a day or so as days off?  No wonder you are sending yourself messages that you need a break.
