Hope you have a lovely Christmas break.
I was also a sahm for a long time - I got a job. You are more employable than you think. You understand how to multitask, time keep, have compassion, good communication skills and problem solving, budgeting skills as well as understanding SEND (which employers are hot on these days). You'll be fine when the time is right and when you learn to sell yourself a little 😉.

Hope you've got a lovely Christmas planned and there's lots of chill time for you!

KK I’m so pleased I didn’t have to wait to long for an answer. I can concentrate on Christmas now.
    DFW321 totally agree.
We’re on holiday 🥳. Virtually no traffic on the roads we travelled on yesterday. Whooped as we passed the long long line of traffic at the slip road for the A1 that we weren’t going that way. It was a tossup between the lakes and the east coast. We chose the right place. Got here in record time and had enough time to do the sm shop. Unfortunately I forgot this is hard water area and after only 1 night my LS has started. So a trip back to the supermarket for some bottled water, apparently Scottish is the softest. Was hoping for a slump day, hey ho.
Right best get sorted as the eldest has just done a phone check on their run and they are on their way back. We are hoping if the youngest needs a rest day that we can leave them in the cottage and we can go on a short walk on the nearby cliffs, but they can ring if there is a problem.

Ah, I can tell which you opted for from the hardness of the water! Some of our family are in the Lakes at the moment and sent a lovely photo of snow on hills but here it's been blowing a gale. I hope the weather doesn't spoil your holiday at all and you can have your walk.

Had a lovely relaxing holiday but glad to be home and my bed with clean bedding-utter bliss.
After hopping on the scales and seeing the numbers have crept up over these past few months, I need to lose weight. I was going to join the gym and have money set aside (£345 for 3months -gym +swim) , I've decided to try couch 2 to 5k again and downloaded the app. This will be my third attempt. I tend to get to week 5 and get shin splints that take ages to heal. I’ve got trainers etc, so will give it another go. Not sure if it will aggravate my ls or not, so I’ve got very baggy trousers.

Yesterday I went to sm and got out how much I have budgeted for food - £120 a week. I’m hoping this is realistic and will save us about £10 a week. Will put any left over notes in an envelope for a bulk buy (if needed). If not needed will allocate half to 🐞PP other half into EF. Change will go in the 🥳 pot.

EF pot currently stand at £22. 🤣 . This is because We are swamped with toilet rolls as dad had bulk bought, so our subscription can be delayed by 3 months . Yes I have that many😝. I can’t use it because of the process used to produce it , but the rest of the household can. I have to use family cloths due to ls , so we just aren’t getting through it.
Ideally I’d like about £10,000 in the EF as OH currently would only get 3months full pay and 3 months half pay if he was off sick. I suspect before we even reach that number he will of done another year and that amount could be reduced. Anyway £22 is start.
This could all just be pie in the sky as we are no longer getting UC as the youngest is too old and we are £300 a month down. OH and I are going to relook at the budget and make some decisions.
Best find my trainers and give it a go
    Love 🐞
