It was a good start to the day KK.
frugalness for the day
1) Rode my bike to the allotment instead of using the car. Covered 2 rhubarb crowns with bins to produce forced rhubarb. Took up veggie peelings for the compost bin, which eventually will be put on the plot
2) Did a bit more on my recycled shelving
3) Free exercise- yoga,🧘♀️ bike ride and 11,468 steps with miss giddychops🦮
4) ys bread from the coop
5) Used some of the alcohol from dads to make cocktails 🍸 (there is a lot alcohol to get through)
6) Stew cooked in the sc overnight (yummy😋)
7) Wm, dw and car on charge to use leccie tariff.
8) Didn’t spend all of this weeks food budget, so will sort that tomorrow - 🐞PP and EF.
9) Used natures tumble dryer, everything was dry except some jeans that just needed a bit of time on a radiator.
Gratitudes 🥳
1) OH got my car to the garage without the clutch failing
2) That mum was able to collect him from the garage and brought him home (she stays over Sunday and Monday, so not out her way)
3) Seeing a flock of goldfinches out on our walk.

(u are always alcohol doesn’t go off quickly! )
your food sounds lovelyDON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

What a morning. The youngest has had a proper meltdown yesterday and today over issues relating to college. Adamant they are not going anymore. However we’ve agreed that we will take a month out, drs appointment made for in a months (next available appointment 😤)time to review medication, will put them back on at Johns wort( been on before), look at doing more exercise, eating better, sleeping more etc etc. College are looking at how best to support them also. Currently at the gym (12 minutes probably but it’s a start) Tomorrow we will look at planning our first week.Love 🐞

Oh dear, Ladybird, just as you cleared all the work on your dad’s house …
Sounds like you know what to do and have swung into mum-sort-it mode. Remember to make some space for you in the midst of it all ….

My thoughts exactly KK, good job I didn’t get an interview for that job🥴.
Finally found a soap dispenser that will dispense foam rather than liquid for the youngest. Good coverage into the hand ensuring good hand hygiene. It’s the little things, picked up hand sanitizer gel, more fruit, multiple vitamins (3 for 2)and a gingerbread man for me. Good job I had money leftover from last week food budget. I am however on target this month. Youngest is a lot more settled this evening and been super helpful around the house.
Frugalness for today= more spare money for the future
1) Tea was leftovers
2) Trip to the a lot to put some glass down to warm and dry out the soil in preparation for broad beans
3) Another inch knitted of my scarf.
Gratitude's
1) Having the patience of a saint
2) That the youngest is more settled
3) To whoever invented gingerbread
love 🐞

Sounds like youngest is a bit embarrassed / ashamed. Maybe they panicked? Hope you can get it sorted for them. I wonder how much of it is the battle to get to college and be there in the colder months as I remember you said they struggle with this.
