We discovered last night that we hadn’t booked accommodation for the last leg of the Hadrian wall trip. We thought we had but nope. Anyway it’s booked, but is just another cost that isn’t budgeted for.
Car is fixed just waiting for the bill to arrive. Car is now full of the stuff that needs to go to the tip. 2 very large items that OH has finally agreed to part with. Hopefully I’ll get some help to get them out when I get there.
The youngest is up and ready for the day so best get a wriggle on and get sorted.

Found another couple of items to go to the tip. Apparently we need to register to use it now😤. Youngest helped to make pasta bake this morning. I’d forgot how messy things can get, miss giddychops has been in her element clearing up though😝. Trying to find jobs that they can do without supervision. Unfortunately everything takes twice as long, but we all need to learn. Just need to readjust my thinking and routine. They are so much brighter today.
Best get back to it, don’t want to be accused of slacking 🤔

The wind here in north Wales would have the clothes out of your hand before you could get a peg on it 😯

Managed to get 2 loads of washing dry using natures tumble dryer. Luckily our washing lines hang fairly low if they aren’t propped up plus everything was well pegged. Spent most of the day either, knitting, phase 2 of marmalade making and continuing to use the pyrograph on my shelving project.
Eldest arrived baring pudding which was a lovely surprise. Felt my mood lift as soon as they came through the door.

Potatoes collected from potato 🥔 day. Need to put the garlic in the fridge to encourage future cloving. Considering whether to grow peppers again this year. First year was a good year however last year I only got 4 peppers from 10 plants.
Beautiful sunshine this morning, washing is out.

Peppers were dreadful here too last year - not enough sun or warmth? Not sure. My compromise is to not bother growing any from seed this year but to just buy some baby plants from the plant centre as I only plant two in my little greenhouse.

What spud varieties did you choose? 😊
