KK managed the upcycling workshop and taking miss giddychops out for a walk.
Debtfreewannabe321 ziffit is alot like music magpie, I think it pays slightly better from experience.
Family meal went OK and holiday for the youngest 18th (which was last year) has been booked and paid for by the in laws.  Unfortunately lunch it's self was delayed as fil had a phone call to say his baby brother has cancer and doesn't have long left. Very sad news.
    Frugalness
    1. Kale, potatoes, onions and sprouts from the plot.
    2. A very luxurious holiday cottage to look forward to in the summer.
    3. Not spent any money today.

  • Definitely beanielou. It will be a soft seize as I've got a sore throat and an ear infection and not slept well for a couple of days. Nothing in comparison to DH uncle. Cancelled dentist, don't think they would appreciate my germs, remade for later in the month.
    Beautiful day, lovely and ☀️.

  • Frugalness for yesterday
    1. Mum used her nectar points to pay for the weekly shop (her contribution as she stays with us a couple of days each week). £52.50.
    2. Plot contributions to tea were kale, potatoes and sprouts. No more stored onions😳.
    3. Bike battery on charge through the night.

Today I need to visit the plot to harvest some leeks for soup, unless the ground is frozen.
Take some books to the book swap hut, drop off a package, walk miss giddychops and put out the washing. I'm sure there will be other jobs.

  • Pondering what to do with regards to holidays this year. Christmas presents to adult children was a weekend away. However due to the needs of the youngest, holidays tend to be structured around them. Considering doing 2 separate holidays which will stretch the budget but not my patience as I try to make sure everyone's needs are met. Going to cost it up and see if it's doable.

  • So it would cost an additional £330 this includes, accommodation, petrol, and food. However, my sanity would remain in one piece. We would stay in yhas and take our own food. Cafe visit would be paid by whichever child we took. The money hopefully I will receive for selling my jewellery will cover the cost. Will put it to one side so it's not spent on something else. Need to get it sent off tomorrow as a priority. If I can keep the food bill down to what we are currently spending each week(about £60) which is about half of what it usually is. My concern is that at the moment we are eating out of the cupboards, freezers and plot which is why it's so low. Meal planning is really helping and keeping to the shopping list.
    Frugalness
    1. Harvested leeks and used potatoes from stores to make leek and potato soup
    2. Mum bought dog food, in return I will be sending her home with 3 pre-cooked meals (she hates cooking).
    3. Sent in mileage claim forms (£208).

I love the trade between you and your mum - dog food for precooked meals! That made me smile 😊
Glad you could find a way to holiday that works for you - you do sound like you have a lot on.
