Thanks KK, will look into it tomorrow. Also thanks for the heads up on the rotary sieve. Picked up today and it has made a massive difference to compost. Really pleased with it, DH is having a play with it now.

Frugalness
1. Used nature's tumble dryer
2. Berries from the plot via the freezer for breakfast.
3. Plot provided most of tea - leeks and potatoes.
4. New rotary sieve has already made fine compost (no buying compost hopefully this year)
5. No money spent.
6. Free exercise with miss giddychops, 10,061 steps.
7. Saved water from shower to flush the loo.

Both the youngest and DH were ill yesterday and since mum was over, I popped over to dad's and got hairy maclary out. Over 13,000 steps yesterday, no wonder I slept well.
Online order and real life shopping yesterday, pretty much kept to the list although I had to go back due to youngest needing yoghurt to take painkillers. Not alot accomplished due to my toing and froing yesterday.
Frugalness for yesterday
1. DH jacket and trousers fixed. Had to sew velcro on as zip had gone trousers.
2. Lots of free exercise via miss giddychops and hairy mclary.
3. Lunch in exchange for dog walk at dad's
4. Home grown peppers and courgette(frozen)used to make chilli for tonight's tea (slow cooker).
5. Hairy maclary is very picky (probably a cat in a previous life) and refused to eat the food (pouches) dad has bought recently, so was given it for miss giddychops. Will add one now and again to supplement her food.
Grateful for
1. Having a dog that will eat everything you put in front of her
2. Mum for been the hero.
3. No storm damage

Thanks LB i don't have a pressure cooker, Hmm I wonder if that is why I didn't like them, I had to do mine on the hob.
That's annoying about the rowing machine, even though it's out of warranty I'd be tempted to try the company you bought it from! You never know..MORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000. Seemed to be out ages with miss giddychops yesterday in the wind and the rain, but it was just a standard walk-13056 steps. Getting easier and feeling less tired. Not alot happened due to the weather other than food prep. Tea was OK but wouldn't make cornbread again, recipe consigned to the bin. Will need to find another recipe for cornmeal. Tea for tonight made in the slow cooker - stew.
Mum sat and prepared 3kg of seville oranges ready for marmalade making today. Payment is portions of stew and chilli to take home. Will need to secure washing with extra pegs today as nature's tumble dryer is blowing a hoolie.
Dentist today boo hiss

All good hg veggies sound greatDON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

How wonderful to be able to dry clothes outside ladybird. If I used nature's clothes-line I'm sure my clothes would end up in the Bristol Channel! x3

I wouldn't dare put mine out as the last time we had this wind the cowl from my central heating went awol & hasn't been seen by any of the neighbours.
