At the Sainsbury's Local near MSE Towers, the instore bakery Taste the Difference individual mince pies are still on sale, down to 27p each.

No photo as I may have eaten the ones I bought already.

They were never really £5 - in December they were on a promotion where if you bought Coke in glass bottles, you got a free bauble.  The bauble nominally scanned at £5 but was taken off the bill as a discount.

At the risk of going off-topic, I noticed at the weekend the baubles are being sold on eBay for £3 each

  • Our Aldi still has loads of frozen turkey, and frozen party food and most of it isn't really discounted. In years gone by they would have cleared all this stuff out.

I bought some less than half price Christmas puddings in a local shop.  They have a use by date of 2025.  They won’t last that long though, Christmas puddings have always been my favourite Christmas food :D
