I bought two of these in Waitrose this morning (had plenty) and got a bonus when checking out ... they are different sizes/weights! ended up with a 716g and a 768g (the lids were raised).

... originally were £8. Several discounted truckles and 'towers' available.
  • There was some stuff reduced at Aldi today by all of 50p - £1, so still expensive for treats.

The days of post Christmas food bargains are over.
No man is worth crawling on this earth.

So much to read, so little time.

Where I mostly shop online there's not many bargains to be had, but I did spot a few cheese board/mezze platter type things in a 'New Year' category on Sainsbury's app - you might have to wait a bit longer for reductions if things are still in date and it's still party season.

I might brave a trip to Lidl at the weekend, but I'm not sure if it'll be worth it from reports here!

The (literal) pallet-load of ALDI Holly Lane Mince Pies at 19p per box of 6 must've been a massive exception a few years back. This year, I struggled to find ALDI Mince Pies at any kind of reduction ... and in fact they disappeared entirely before Christmas Eve.
  • A very good bargain in Waitrose for New Year's parties or just lunches -
Spanish or Italian meat & cheese platters, £1 each or £2 for 3 packs.  These were originally £6 per pack.

I've been to a couple of their shops local to me and they seem to have tons of stock.

I went to Tesco on boxing day and stocked up on fish and meat from the discount shelves.
Fair reductions but when I worked it out I was only 50p an item saving. Eventually I worked out why.

So confirms my thought at the beginning of the cost of living crisis, it's now probably better to only buy what you want and stock up on the club card offers.
After years of being a bargain hunter I need retraining  :)

Morrisons zilch, ditto co-op, Iceland closed.

I can rise and shine - just not at the same time!

Very few bargains in Lidl, pretty much everything Christmassy was around 15% off with the odd thing 50%.
