Hm. Looks like it's going ahead then 😥0

They might. We don't know because we haven't seen any UKPC claims go to hearings yet. Maybe they just won't attend.Le_Kirk said:They might not attend themselves but will send a rent-a-mouth to act on their behalf.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

But the bundle they've sent seems to be in lieu of attending so the hearing can still go ahead?0

It's not in lieu of attending a hearing. It's a standard WS bundle. Have you sent yours?

No, they sent an additional pack stating on the cover letter they wouldn't be attending in person so the docs were in lieu of this.0

But we don't know if they will send a legal rep (third party hired gun) which is the norm for this industry.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Almost certainly if you've received the PPC's Witness Statement and you have not yet sent yours, you're late and could find there will be a judgment against you if you don't get yours off pronto.semma19 said:But the bundle they've sent seems to be in lieu of attending so the hearing can still go ahead?Hardly any PPC appears in court and exposes themselves to questioning by a judge. They will however send a hired-in solicitor to represent them. You need to get ahead of this. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
