Quite possibly Not though digitally checking some numbers.
Initial quote exceeded my expectations, though it's de install current kitchen re install new kitchen which Does includes Tiled areas.
I consider this as what could be my most required 'work' improvement, though may know if it's possible to achieve during week ahead.
I've no idea what these Kitchen home Surveys could check, I've still got loose Cavity Wall Installtion Pellets under some units's -If there's a wall or structurale or flooring fault- Does this kitchen survey identify this.
Meanwhile unsecured where possible is 12 months 0% t.b.h this kitchen quote is almost immediately  post EV upgrade which could hinder any kitchen hopes.
Late '24 +during 2025- could re coup monthly cost of Kitchen from expring Finance agreements.

    thanks mser's

Reading this thread as a whole, the OP seems to have an essentially functioning kitchen and a suitable layout for their needs - I assume the layout can't be changing with the proposal to reuse the worktops etc. as it would be unlikely the existing worktops would suit an altered layout.

On that basis, the most MSE thing to do would seem to be to do nothing right now and save up for a while (as long as it takes) until the OP is able to afford a complete new kitchen rather than this partial upgrade which it appears will leave the OP with a half-new-half-old kitchen.  Doing only parts will result in a never ending cycle of half-kitchen upgrades as the "old" parts will reach the point of shabby ahead of the new parts.  I would also expect the labour costs for a half kitchen refit are proportionally more than they would be for the full job so the refurb in steps will end up costing more overall.

I'd really suggest doing nothing for now and working towards the future complete job when finances permit.

    @Grumpy_chap

Thanks This as other costly purchases is only quote/pre survey stage.
I didn't realise major retailers removal/installation is only 1-2% less than the Kitchen units etc, half cost-almost 50/50
Very interesting Refit is Not being advised -this was a verbal 'option' yesterday handyman.
I don't have confidence nor knowledge to purchase correct sized units -even before labourer is hired.
Today's online quote was in effect inclusive -this retailer has since advised 1k could be dropped if 'wrap around wooden doors' were selected -I'll view examples next week, I know I want to avoid light units again maybe nice deep oak effect.
I've store appt next week, I have limits and if costs were to increase again then I won't apply.
If quote is acceptable -there Is difference from 8.5k to 7k approx.
There Are other agreements ending soon and a few next year.
I don't believe stopping this early is useful, at very least i'de like to learn.
    1. Is quote going to be greater than 7k
    2.  Any other savings options hardware wise -units/tiles.
    3.  Electrics not included- I have nearly new appliances -what electric costs are needed.
-Important is recent years cavity wall pellets flooding into kitchen going to deter or delay new kitchen.

thanks mser's to add I am considering using small Isa sum as decent deposit can keep payments lower.

To make use of existing thread.
Are Electrical Light Switches and Sockets Standard Sizes.
I went as far as choosing Double Socket replacement.
Web retailer then prompted often bough with 30mm backplate ,then product info States must be used with 25mm backplate.
Edited, I'll purchase socket that includes 25mm backplate as one product.
    thanks

They're standard in terms of height, width and fixing screws. But some protrude more at the back, particularly the so called "flat plate" style. If by "backplate" you mean the mounting box, I'd fit as deep as possible.

It is the backkplate recommended 30mm yet the Double Socket info states 25mm.

Maybe it's 'from' 25mm, I'm going to order the next one which 'includes 25mm'
Handyman had commented recently Cooker/Power double socket maybe Non Standard, I should measure and check and update, the socket is old school 2 red leds once cooker drop down switch one useable drop down power socket.
Maybe best I make use of b+q visit Thurs with sizes and handyman said No to my replace old type Eco 7 Water Booster Box, I have asked via mse before and can re search, is it Electrician only or is Plumber required.

    thanks

Have you thought about just changing the doors on the units? You can buy paint especially for tiles so you can change the look of them as well.

Kitchen is past it, Noticed from quickstep flooring in recent times, I'd choose nicer quality next time.
Units were maybe decent though post sink+worktop, the substandard aged effect is not going away.
Going forward maybe later years I'll consider room at a time flooring.
This weeks kitchen is by no means guaranteed, especially since ev upgrade.
