Programmes missing on EPG Sony TV with Humax Box

Does the Humax helpline on 0344 318 8800 still work?
If you swap the two boxes over, you can rule out a whole host of issues. For example, the booster box could be faulty, or the connection there may have come loose.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?2 -
I have not tried, GDB2222 but my Humax Box will be out of warranty. I'll keep a note of the number though (03443188800) and thank you very much.

Cables and connections are most likely issue here.
Possibly also HDMI to aerial lead cross interference.
Swap the two 5000Ts around to see if the fault follows the Humax or the Location.
Recent High Pressure is permitting distant transmitter interference, too... but that may not be relevant here?
It would be most odd to have this described symptom due to a fault with the PVR.
Use the Humax signal strength and quality metering to check if signals are too low or too high in the two locations.2 -

Swapping the two boxes over is a faff, but it does then prove it's a problem with that box. At the moment, you don't know whether the aerial connection to your living room is faulty, for example. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?1 -
Mistake - sorry.1

Retired_Saver said:Thanks Rodders53. How would I find the Humax signal strength and quality metering to check if signals are too low or too high on both locations, please? The Humax box in the bedroom seems to be perfect.
The manual can be found here:

The Signal tests say: Strength 82% and the quality is 100%. in the living room Humax Box and Strength 80%/quality 100% in the bedroom Humax Box. Do the levels sound normal, thanks?

This is NOT a fault with your equipment. At the moment with high pressure over most of the UK (except for rain swept Scotland...) we are getting tropospheric propagation on the UHF bands. This causes longer distance transmitters to be received which interfere with the wanted ones. Do not retune your sets, this will only make it worse as you will tune in all sorts of unwanted long distance things. Nothing you can do but to wait a few days until the high pressure goes away (it will later in the week and it is forecast to be much colder!).4

That is very interesting. Thank you very much, spenderdave. Is it a bit unusual that the Humax Box EPG in my living room is quite badly affected and the Humax Box in my bedroom is completely normal with the full EPG?

I've just seen this after posting on the TV board about the same problem which is only affecting Freesat 126. I have two Humax boxes and one much newer Manhattan box. No listing on Radio Times either.2
