    How do you go about making a complaint?
    I've been on chat and they have admitted there's a problem and suggest they will contact customers but I have very little faith in this idea.

    If you use something to the effect of "formal complaint" when you're talking to them they should (eventually) pass you along to the right people. If they refuse, then keep challenging them until they do.
    Thanks for that. Managed to get my cashback and goodwill gesture on chat but wouldn't recommend it unless you are a masachist like me.

    Thanks, just noticed the 'formal complaint' advice so I'll give it a go.
  • I made a formal complaint in mid October.
    In my case they've done absolutely nothing to address the "common issue" of current card not linked to rewards.
    In fact they did nothing for at least four and half weeks.
    In the week and a half after that they lied through their teeth about what they reckon has been done.
    I have got £100 out of it through, and a final response that says they have passed the issue onto their "Cashback Rewards Team" and to expect a response within 10 working days.
    It's 9 working days in, and there's 14 days left on the promotion and I've heard nothing (and the card is still not linked)

    The only things Barclays complaints handlers are good are lying and ensuring that complaints never get to more than 8weeks without a final response, usually by paying you off...




    Did you do this through the app?

    Or some other way like a phonecall or branch visit?

    If the card isn't linked by Friday morning, then it's going to the FOS. I don't want any more money - I want someone to fix the problem. The realist in me thinks I'll just get offered more money, and no fix.

    Thanks. If I'm honest I'm more interested in a bit of 'goodwill' though realistically I don't see much, all my other payments have been processed fine so its not a case of my card not being linked, its a different problem.

    I had this last month as well.
    Some people (like me) got their tenner for November but then had the cashback offer stopped at the beginning of December without any notice and so are receiving no tenner for December. :'( I shall complain in the new year and knowing their attitude they'll pay me my tenner to make the problem go away. :)

    Oh....my.....you know.

    Just spent 40 minutes on the phone with a colleague who not only had no idea about the 5% offer (if I hear selected retailers once more I'll scream) but would not register a complaint.

    She got irate, agitated, you name it. All because she has no inkling of this offer.

    I'll go into a branch and argue the toss, its only pittance but it does show how badly organised Barclays are.
