So I haven’t bothered using the debit card for the offer this month. Having worked for Barclays a number of years, I’m not surprised this offer has been a shower of ….

    You used to be able to log a complaint through online banking (not the app) by sending a secure message, but I see they seem to have taken the secure message function away now. I would’ve done this to log a complaint but I can’t be bothered to log a complaint any other way.

  • Never received my £10 December cashback and decided not to bother and contact them.

    However this morning I have changed my mind and contacted them via the website online chat to ask them why they prevent their customers from easily complaining online and make it so difficult. Also mentioned my missing cashback. 
    Well I have been offered the tenner to be transferred to me immediately. 

    I guess they know they are guilty so it makes sense to contact them and complain.

    The updates always took a while for me but did eventually track, I spent £200 both months and got the £10 each month without any issue, just had to wait for it. Normal shopping, mix of PIN and google pay

    I was the original poster on this and have to say the offer worked wonders for me, although it hasn’t updated my cash back since the 16th December it’s stuck on £5.32 but I’ve definitely spent enough for the £10 cash back. I’m going to chase them up as some of you have said you had the same problem… so it looks like the offer is over now so it’s back to the brilliant “chase” card - which I’ve sadly neglected since Barclays offer.

    update: I’ve been talking to Barclays online chat and have been told I need to submit every transaction, time and date and money spent to their “missing transaction” centre to get my £10 cashback for December… it’s a nightmare I was really impressed with the offer and made their card my only spending card for the past 3months, my Barclays reward account was last updated on 16th December with £5.32 in, I’ve since spent over £300 on my debit card since then. I know it’s only a couple of £‘s but if a big huge bank like Barclays aren’t capable of honouring their offer for a couple of £‘a they should be held accountable. A few £‘a off every person who used the offer soon mounts up to thousands.. 
    sorry, moan over.. will keep you all informed incase anyone else has the same trouble
